I met Tess at the LZ Invitational and had to feature her Nissan 180SX, boasting a complete Spirit Rei body kit. Surprisingly, this is her 7th S chassis!

Tess, @6:25 if you want the trunk to raise a tiny bit to match the rear fender height line on the rear, you can put weather stripping on the inside edge of the trunk area (theres this rear bar on top inside) and it'll let the trunk sit a bit higher to match, while also eliminating trunk rattle (if any).

This isn't all a look that I'd personally do, but damn it's so well executed. Those rears are blended in so well (and as someone quite picky I LOVE that there's a flush cover for the fuel door - sunken ones stick out like a sore thumb!). The confetti Recaros are just [chef's kiss].

Well I think her reasons are fairly… Reasonable… She said she has had simple OEM plus builds before and has never had a highly modified modified car (modified in this way not saying the others didn’t have mods) before… So it makes sense that she wanted to mix things up a bit. Frankly I’m similar although I’m too young to afford a build like this these days, but I’ve always preferred super clean OEM+ builds… Right up until I see the Re Amemiya builds, or the Ridox Supra builds, those just make me foam at the mouth 😂

Same. OEM+ is very clean and elegant but after maturing I've kinda reversed. I just want to go all out and be as creative as possible. It's honestly a shame people are all just enjoying simple builds it's no fun anymore

Very elegant vision of a build. (For the dash you can use some old cracked ones to experiment with different covering techniques til you find the one ya like! I ended up powersanding mine down to be a bit thinner, and smoothed/opened certain spots, then covered in adhesive and a prebacked alcantara.)

Leaned over my clapped 240 last night trying to finish my engine bay paint. I was thinking about how nice it would be to NOT have to fix every hack job that was done to this car. But I guess if I made more money I wouldn't have to do so much work on it. We can all hope to have a car this clean in the future

I would highly suggest air suspension! It helps protect your investment. Other than that sprit x is absolutely beautiful.

Favorite kit for a 180sx. They put it on Need For Speed and it's a go to now. Midnight Purple, bronze work emotion wheels and this kit can't beat it.

And to the dash.... while of course a dash without cracks is ideal, I actually love that dash cover and think it completes the build personally, I'd definitely keep it after finding a new dash. Hell, I dig the whole car, hearts, flowers and all, I'd rock it as is. 😅 And she's perfect 👌
