The meta will change only in pro scene. In normal solo queue, people probably won't run it as teleporter since it is hard to be used without communication.

I dont think anyone has mentioned this yet but Trick makes it so Hoopa can give people more range so for example: if you use trick on a friendly Garchomp then that will make it so people can run away from chomp as easily because it has hoopas range of attack attached to it with shadow balls and basics flying out of it. thats pretty awesome and I cant wait to see how much it changes other pokemon with less range. EDIT: Kinda unrelated but imagine telling your team right before zap to go score, then you, as Hoopa and the only one at zap, Unite and bring your whole team in from scoring to take zap... thats pretty devistating if done right

I think Hoopas‘ addition currently absolutely destroys the game. Every match with Hoopa in it, is an absolute chaos. In professional tournaments where players can communicate with voice chat it’s great, but for casual players it’s a mess.

Trick + shadow ball might be good for solo queue though. The moves interaction are good. basically you can hit enemies with multiple shadow balls at once

Plus it gives healing, shields, buffs etc. Probably way better for SoloQ than the portals even though the portals look really good. I think the portals are also being hyped up ngl.

Worth remembering that enemies can see the portals too. If they see you put one in the middle of a team fight or something they know exactly where to aim their unites and damaging moves for your return lol. You ALWAYS return to the centre.

@@nikhilvhatkar2220 it doesn't have to just be unite moves. Anything with an aoe like crustles stealth rocks or charizards fire blast would have them warping right onto a really damaging move. Alternatively you could have somebody camping there with a high damage move like a solar beam, water shuriken, or close combat.

Keep in mind its only optional to teleport back. They don't have to come back through the portal but waiting to ambush people teleporting back is definitely counterplay.

keep in mind, if you use it today your random teammates will go afk. for some people its hoopa or nothing. the same goes for the other team. i havent had a single match when nobody was afk today.

This will of course be nerfed later. Trolls will send you back to base on Zap in random. In 5v5 this becomes absolutely meta. You're giving your team greater mobility than any other mechanic that exists in the game. Which is the problem with it.

It sucks, it’ll force people to always be ready to avoid the portals during Zap and you really wouldn’t have much time mid-fight. All they have to do is make it like Symmetra’s teleportation where team mates click L3 or R3 to go through teleportals, rather than being forced to relocate. Easy fix tbh

Just so you know; the berries that speed you up are called salac berries. They boost speed by 1 stage when a mon reaches 33% or lower HP in the main games. (:

Yes this is game changing but you can already expect a nerf, if you really think about it, as long as they increase the cooldown and make sure Hoopa doesn’t do a lot of damage it should be fine

Been stacking aeos cookie with score shield and using buddy barrier with that. Basically just team fighting and using those items for sustain and occasional stacking/scoring. I would use Sp. Atk Specs but I'm just bot sure how his damage scales

I’ve been trying out Buddy, Score, and Muscle since Hoopa seems to use basics a lot, but Cookie seems like a good idea since Hoopa looks like it has slightly lower HP than most supporters

@@awesomeperson5150 if you're not stacking cookie go with focus over score shield though. The 30 to defenses doesn't seem like much but it's good early game. Then the effect of the heal is good late game as well. Better than the score shield though. Stacking is super fun on him but I'm just doing this till we all have him nailed down better. I've already been switching back and forth.

With hoopa added, I expect the meta to change drastically, and I think it is safe to assume destroying goals is going to be much more valuable since hoopa can't link the final goal P.S: the unite lasts for about 15s

Already it looks super hyper ultra overpowered, to a point you must have one in your team and everyone will be fighting to be the one playing with it. Looks like it will be a Hoopa Unite game from now on, rendering every other pokemon a lower tier. With that said, Im not too happy about it. Using Phantom Force to go back also ports you to a different location. You can hide in a bush, Hyperspace Hole, Phantom Force onto HS Hole, port to base, and PF back to the bush to avoid getting blown up by the enemy. Lol Pokemon Unite just got crazy.

I just practiced with it. It's so crazy man. Using Phantom force and hyper is crazy for moving around. Just will take some real strategy and being quick with your moves. I'm not even going to try ranked for a while lol

I actually really like Trick and Shadow Ball. It's like a better Eldegoss which was already amazing.. Your normal DPS is pretty low, but Trick is incredibly broken for pushing early with Score Shield, and Shadow ball+auto attacks do pretty good damage with Trick up. It gives you a near constant slow while making you very tanky and mobile.. It might lose to Eldegoss if you go with 1-1-3 strategies but I'm definitely preferring Hoopa for laning in solo queue. Oh and Trick begins healing an insane amount to your ally at level 10. The link also lasts a long time and has a huge range.. Unlike stupid Guard Swap which is useless as an actual support move. The mobility, shield, and free berries from Trick and Magician also mean you can run X-Attack which is amazing with Trick and auto-attacks, but more importantly it increases your attack speed and power when Unbound. I definitely recommend Muscle Band and X-Attack if you go with Trick and Shadow Ball. Most of your damage comes from auto-attacks, Shadow Ball is mostly for the constant debuffs but it has deceptively long range. It hits quite a bit farther than it looks.

IMO, Hyperspace hole/phantom force is great for 5-stack. Trick/shadow ball is the one to go to when you’re on solo queue.

Something he didn’t try out was trick/phantom force. According to the description, you should be able to yoink a teammate back with you. That could be good for solo too. Or troll, depending on the person Edit: just tried it, and the team mate has to choose to go back with you

Phantom Force + Trick is my favorite move set on Hoopa. But, Hyperspace Hole is probably a lot better than Trick in organized play.

The great thing about Phantom Force'ing back? You're not popping up in the center of an obvious Red hole for the enemy team. It's better for team fights (slap someone, head back, heal, come back to the fight), whereas just Hyperspace Hole back is better for quick moves around the map. Your allies don't get the benefit of Phantom Force, though, so be careful!

Getting Hyper. Hole / Trick first at level 4 before Phantom Force / Shadow Ball at level 6 is my only gripe about Hoopa. It feels a bit awkward to have Trick and Astonish for 2 levels, since Trick doesn't synergize with Astonish at all. Having Shadow Ball / Confusion for those same 2 early levels would feel much better.

It could definitely be bad. Especially for griefing. Sounds fun in a team setup and potentially even a hard carry solo. He just has a lot of utility in his kit the point where I can't even figure out what his best role would be
