@melancholy9236 defending bigger and longer players with a shorter wingspan will be harder specially in the NBA where players are athletic and long. It will be handy to have a long reach so you can cover space,passing lanes and block shots. Imagine going up against a Kawhi Leonard who is about 6'6 but have a wingspan of 7'3", that's a tall order. I can't find Carl's anthropomorphic stats, but just visually estimating, his wingspan seems shorter than his height. You can see how much effort he gives in dunking the ball at 6'8, which sometimes is needed in situations where you have to avoid getting blocked,compared to Kevin Quaimbao at 6'4 who can easily power through with a dunk in tight situations against established defenders because of the aid of longer arms.

His good and lethal on that midrange but his 6’7 and not once I saw him dunk on his highlights his only 23 but not once I saw him with that quick step or have any speed at all I hate to loose hope in this guy coz I’m really hoping for a pinoy player in the nba it would be amazing but I don’t think his the one he has no athleticism at all, I guys you can saw what about Luka? He is athletic, but his shorter wingspan means he has to jump higher to dunk the ball. In the NBA, teams also look for anthropomorphic measurements aside from raw talent because it can give an advantage where all players are very skilled and elite. For example, 6'7 Luka has a 7 feet wingspan and 6'6 Kawhi Leonard has a 7'3 wingspan.

What is not being discussed here and every freaking Pinoy basketball vlogger is the KBL teams are just letting the Filipino players do their thing,they're not being taught the Korean system,Carl's long range shots has not improved and they never gave him a play that looks like the Korean system,not only him but every Filipino players in Korea,the Koreans are still hiding it to the Pinoys how they implement that system that keeps beating Gilas,no matter how good their players are.

Good point, but you also have to realize that there's no such thing. Koreans are basically sharing the ball with crisp passes, following the rule book and shoot the ball. They don't do much on defense. In case you haven't noticed, Filipino basketball has more "character" than Korean basketball. This is the real reason why our locals were being recruited and then shine there. As for Koreans beating us in international games, I think the development in Gilas since Tab handled it during the pandemic speaks for itself. It's a phase, like how we used to dominate basketball and football in Asia.

@@JaneLambino-g8w the last time South Korea's basketball team beat the Philippines was during the FIBA Asia Cup 2022,even CTC is wary of the Korean team as history,he can build a team that can beat China but the Korean system making Korean players who's skill level are compared to PBA players play like superstars.Gilas will always have alot more skilled players like all 12,but the powerhouse Asian teams will barely have 5 ,its their system like Japan,where another place where Pinoy players dominate,yet the Japanese play better in FIBA games than GIlas.
