No complaints only want to add the fact that OKC decided to do the hack a Lively strategy and at first Lively was running away from the defense trying not to get fouled, Kyrie told him to stand there take the foul and knock down his free throws and that’s just what he did! For a rookie that is insane to show that type of poise that 15 year veterans don’t even have. D Live is the truth can’t wait to see what he does in the future

The Mavs have a real chance to build a dynasty. Right now it's Luka & Kyrie. But at some point it's gonna become Luka & Lively. Because Lively DOES have 3 ball range...he's just gotta keep working on it and other aspects of his game before it's NBA ready. I'm hoping next year he works on his low-post game. Get comfortable backing guys down. Develop a steady 7 foot hook or push shot. I think that's the one part of his game where he still plays like a rookie...he gets the ball down low and it's like he's thinking "this is the NBA, I gotta be quicker & faster" but if he just settles himself down & takes a half of a second more to create his shot he'd be even better around the rim. So this step should be pretty easy for him. Then maybe the following year he develops a strong 15 footer jumpshot and maybe start testing his 3 ball range. And he'll be a pretty deadly pick & roller. Can roll with Luka and be a lob machine. Or he'll be able to pick & pop. But without a doubt, this guy is gonna be NBA All Defensive team for many years to come. His size, length, ability to bulk up (vs a Wemby or Chet who will always be pretty lanky), and his feet will allow him to match up with anyone and feel good about it.

I feel like you could do a video about the entire Mavs defense. I mean PJ Washington is out there putting dudes in pJail. There was several times in the 2nd half of Game 6 where PJ is on Shai and he forced Shai into a tough 10-15 footer that he misses. The work that DJJ did on PG13 and Chet is also very impressive. He was literally wearing PG's uni for most of that series. And you've got this 6'6 dude blocking Chet's 3 point shots while also being a menace to Chet whenever he tried to drive it. The Mavs are a legit ELITE defensive team. With Gafford & Lively you've got 2 excellent rim protectors who can do it in different ways. You've got 2 wings who are 6'6 & 6'7 who can guard almost every position. You have Kai playing aggressive defense and being the crafty veteran. And Luka is a big body just trying his best to get in the way & give his help defenders just half a second more to get into position...but he also comes up with timely blocks and steals. Then you still have more defense on the bench. Josh Green is a really solid defender who also brings a ton of hustle & effort. Maxi is a VERY under rated defender. For 6'10 he's really good on the perimeter & can switch on most players. Not a rim protector but will get his share of blocks. Dante Exum isn't a great defender but he's a willing one...even though bigger guards like Shai can put Exum on his butt. But we haven't even seen the rest of the defense. O-Max, the late 1st round pick who spent the season with the G-League, is supposed to be a VERY good defender. He's like 6'9, 7 foot wingspan, really good athleticism. He's supposed to be this 3 & D guy who can work off the closeout with a drive & dunk.
