Just like with Lebron, if you think Shai doesn’t play basketball right, basketball isn’t your sport. He’s efficient, he’s skilled, and he’s lowkey elite on the defensive end as well. And he essentially plays every single game like it’s a prime-time do-or-die to make it into the playoffs type of game. People who think the league’s leader in both drives to the basket AND made shots is bad because he gets to the line have no business talking about basketball or watching it.

I love the way OKC plays. I hate how too many fans are like there’s no defense in the NBA. Five years ago, I would agree. These past 3-4 have been a defensive renaissance with the Bucks when they won the championship. Seeing last years playoffs with the Nuggets making adjustments to eliminate the Lakers despite not having depth. Seeing the Wolves make adjustments to eliminate the Nuggets. Seeing the Mavs make adjustments to eliminate the Wolves and seeing the Celtics make defensive adjustments to eliminate the Mavs was amazing basketball last year

Them Hawks, Pistons and Magic I love watching literally for defense. Houston too

It’s just been the last year 1/2 since they allowed them to start playing again without calling a foul at any touch. That’s why I stopped watching the NBA (habitually) for a bit.

For me the x-factor is Hartenstein. Since he's back from injury the Thunder are 18-2 and he's their 3rd best passer. He's not just the anker on defense but also a passing hub on offense who sees plays develope before they happen. (btw it's pronounced Harten-"shtine" like shine but with a "t" inbetween)

Rooting for specific teams makes it hard to give good NBA players their respect when they are on a team that isn't yours. That's why I like not having a team. I'm watching the players go off, and work as a team, rather than rooting for a group of people because they have the correct logo on.
@CooperMarketingUnlimited19 күн бұрын
That makes sense. I'm from Utah, so the Jazz are my favorite team. It's pretty easy for me to judge other players fairly because my team hasn't been a contender since the late 90's. 😂

I've seen enough from this OKC team to say that if they're healthy throughout the playoffs I just don't see anybody beating them in a series. They are the best team in the NBA right now and they're playing without their clear second best player Chet Holmgren who is a huge part of why they're so good and still beating teams like NY and Boston. If Sam Presti (GM for OKC) doesn't pull another colossal blunder like he did when he traded Harden this team is going to win multiple championships. Mark it down.

@jakoreyaj i want SGA to win but let's not pretend that Jokic isn't having a historically good season as well.
@jakoreyaj20 күн бұрын
@charlesfranczyk3458 see this why i hate the jokic shit.. jordan n bron arguably could have more mvps but voter fatigue happened and the years that they didn't win their was someone usually having a monster season... kobe bryant only got 1 mvp and he put up historical numbers but ppl always said his teams weren't winning so we cant give it to him.. now jokic comes along n ppl want to give him every mvp even when there's someone performing better and winning more. Its bogus n it doesn't feel genuine. Jokic is always gonna have great numbers in this inflated numbers league so using numbers to justify his mvp? 🤢 nasty work. There was a time where impact, strength of schedule, and the teams overall talent were taken into consideration. Not JUST numbers. Shais 2nd best player hasn't played most of the seasn n they're still #1 im the west.... thats big time. Anyone saying jokic deserves it off numbers alone is just being biased n thats why i don't entertain the idea of him winning again.
@jakoreyaj20 күн бұрын
@charlesfranczyk3458 yea you're clearly the biased emotional one n your comment about padding proves it. Like listen to that 1st sentence.... you're using nerd logic to justify jokic winning mvp. Gtfoh with that lame shit. Jokic has a great team with an ex mvp, a solidified all star 2 gaurd, a 6'10 shooter n a versitle all star pf. The bench could be better but thats about it. You jokic fans are just as bad as lebron fans giving jokic all the credit like he doesn't have a great team around him. Stop with the bs cause ultimately you all are just happy to see a man with similar skin tone being dominant. N thats why i don't entertain the bs narratives you all come up with to justify giving jokic anoyher mvp. Its not basketball its personal for you all.
