LOL, your last video convinced me to sign up on Copart. Was just going to dig into what the auction costs are. Now you saved me some time. Thanks HD!

I know! It's just not easy to find a steal. I am still optimistic that this route will yield value. (Fingers crossed)

Great job, I am glad other people have the means too pass this along. I don't have the means to acquire many bikes, but I have had some great bikes for a lot of watching, & some work. Been riding over 50 years.

Thanks. This bike was an experiment to see if Copart was a good idea. Here is the video on the finished bike and costs: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qXy0gH-gfNGIf9k

Great Video, thanks. I just won a 2013 Ninja 650 bid on IAAI for $650, but the total costs came to $978.plus DMV and sales tax. I was a little surprised at the amount and am not sure if I want to go through with it. I should have done my homework.

good video bro, FYI you can get a motorcycle trailer at U haul for $20 for a full day
@worldhello123410 ай бұрын
@3:16 Quite unreasonably so, because why is the only bidding fee not a flat rate? Do they online servers have to work harder for a Bentley than for a motorcycle? @11:41 Yes, but rebuild doesn't mean good or decent. If you have done it yourself, you know what you have.

The amount of $ you're spending on that bike is way more than I spent on my car, and that's with the $ I spent to replace the battery wires plugs upper intake manifold lower intake gaskets water pump brakes and radiator. That's just crazy.

If you have a vehicle for under $2000 it must be a shit box 😂

For the low price you paid, what about parting it out? I would think, the motor would sell for what you have into it. I have 2 coparts within 30 miles from me, and was just thinking.....
@HooptieDoodle2 жыл бұрын
I have had similar thoughts, but my experience trying to sell motorcycle parts has also been discouraging. There doesn't seem to be much demand for parts in my experience. Perhaps if you sold online, shipped cross country, and were willing to hold onto parts till you got your price. I've still got a bunch of grom parts😀

So the " BUYER FEE" .... How is that calculated? Is it a % of the winning bid price? Is there a chart that shows prices ranges and fees?

Harley Davidsons retain their value a little better and you can get some of the newer bikes SUPER CHEAP compared to their "new prices". There is definitely some profit to be had of you fix and flip those versus sport bikes. That might be something to consider
@HooptieDoodle5 жыл бұрын
Those are some good points. Harleys are also plentiful. I'll have to take a closer look at those - thanks!

Well at least you didn't pay sales tax. As an out of state buyer I'm exempt from sales tax. They charged me anyway but said since i was exempt they'd refund me. Calling customer service. They gave me an email of which nobody will respond. Rip off.

No idea what you're talking about. Maybe for this little pos it isn't worth it. However there's other vehicles & motorcycles that are. To say as a whole Copart isn't a good place is a stupid assumption.
