I'm still sad about the Butler loses. to have an unknown school from Indianapolis be so dominant in the tourney was special
@ytodysm48933 жыл бұрын
I was a big 10 & butler fan, and all I had to show for it was a 2000 championship from Michigan St. I don’t really care about school and conference pride anymore these days. Probably got tired of losing. Indiana lost to Maryland (ACC back then), Illinois (one of my all-time favs) lost to UNC in 2005, Ohio St to Florida, Michigan St to UNC, Butler to Duke and then UConn, Michigan to Louisville who then had their wins vacated, Wisconsin to Duke, Michigan to ‘Nova. There were also near-championship runs. So much loss.
@falconhoward40322 жыл бұрын
Now think about how devastating it was for me, a Butler fan from Indianapolis that was the ball boy at the time of both Championship runs, knowing the players and coaches personally, having attended every game at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse, to watch it just barely rim out 50 feet away from where I was sitting....

Wow this is some serious work you put in! Regarding the OSU-UF game in 2007, I was there (I'm an OSU alum) and you pretty much nailed the reason why Florida won a game that OSU totally dominated inside. They were on fire from 3 and OSU could not through it in the ocean. I think OSU outscored them in the paint something like 48-20 and it felt like at some point the 3s would drop and we would get the win. But OSU has a long history of underperforming and choking in the tourney due to tightening up and that's pretty much what happened behind the arc the entire game.
