I'm still sad about the Butler loses. to have an unknown school from Indianapolis be so dominant in the tourney was special

I was a big 10 & butler fan, and all I had to show for it was a 2000 championship from Michigan St. I don’t really care about school and conference pride anymore these days. Probably got tired of losing. Indiana lost to Maryland (ACC back then), Illinois (one of my all-time favs) lost to UNC in 2005, Ohio St to Florida, Michigan St to UNC, Butler to Duke and then UConn, Michigan to Louisville who then had their wins vacated, Wisconsin to Duke, Michigan to ‘Nova. There were also near-championship runs. So much loss.

Now think about how devastating it was for me, a Butler fan from Indianapolis that was the ball boy at the time of both Championship runs, knowing the players and coaches personally, having attended every game at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse, to watch it just barely rim out 50 feet away from where I was sitting....

Wow this is some serious work you put in! Regarding the OSU-UF game in 2007, I was there (I'm an OSU alum) and you pretty much nailed the reason why Florida won a game that OSU totally dominated inside. They were on fire from 3 and OSU could not through it in the ocean. I think OSU outscored them in the paint something like 48-20 and it felt like at some point the 3s would drop and we would get the win. But OSU has a long history of underperforming and choking in the tourney due to tightening up and that's pretty much what happened behind the arc the entire game.

My favorite upset pick of 2014 that all my friends asked me about was St. Joe’s over UConn. I watch the most CBB and my friends always ask me for advice for the tourney and that was it…The 10-7. I was at the game. I think it went to OT And then UConn won the national championship 😂😂 My luck would carry into the next year as I was the manager of my HS team and a kid on the team knew I loved CBB and asked me who my favorite non-favorite championship contenders were that year. My answers? Iowa State and Baylor. Both 3 seeds. Iowa State lost to UAB and Baylor lost to RJ Hunter. Honestly really funny

That 2012 Kentucky team was just built different I just wish all the players would’ve stayed a couple years I feel like we could’ve seen a college basketball team we will never see again had everyone on that team stayed a couple extra years

While never possible yeah that team would be pretty nasty. Bulldog point guard that hurts people defending him to lethal shooters roaming at all times and too brutal vicious big men that couldn't be touched. Yup.

The question now stands: If each of these Championship Teams participated in a tournament of their own, who would come out on top? I believe either 2018 Villanova or 2012 Kentucky

If Bosh comes back for his sophomore year we beat UConn in 04. Big Luke had nothing for Okafor. If Jack and Bosh had gotten to play together through their junior years there might have been back to back championships in Atlanta.

i noticed we've reverted back to the 70s style of basketball shorts. history repeats i guess. its not as high as it was in the 70s. but everyone has their shorts above the knees now. its honestly better to play in shorter shorts coming from a basketball player
