I think thicker Shag carpets require something a little more heavy duty anyways. I have the same unit but my carpet pile isn't as deep or thick as yours and it works excellent 👍

Not only do you need a better vacuum if your getting hair balls of that magnitude, but you obviously you dont understand that particular carpet machine is for small areas. Giving the machine a bad review after you basically poured mud from is an indication you need a heavy duty machine for a deplorable disgusting rug. Not the machines fault. Wow!

I appreciate your candid comment. Linda, I have to tell you. I understand that this is a spot cleaner. I have a Hoover Power Scrub Elite that I use frequently. I also have a Dirt Devil Vacuum that is pretty amazing and I use it a lot. I had cleaned with the Power Scrub about 3 days before I filmed this. No matter how many times I clean the water is ALWAYS that dark. Also the Power Scrub NEVER produces those hairballs. I agree with your observations but the truth is, my 4 legged babies somehow keep this floor filthy.
