Hoover Senior

Three UK Hoover Seniors, known as the Convertible outside of Europe. The pink 652 dates from 1960, the blue 6525C was built in 1971, and the yellow U4002 was made in 1975. The 652 is a one speed machine, while the later ones have two speed motors.
technically, the 652 is a Hoover Deluxe, and the U4002 is a Hoover Ranger...

Wasn't the brown one from the Shake N' Vac advert from the 70's? Lol, i always remember that green carpet and cigar in the ashtray.... i was born in 79' but i remember the ad runnin for years!

The Hoover Ranger model U4014 was the one used in the shake and vac tv commercial. It had a brown bag.

I don't understand why these days we can't buy an upright here in the UK with a light on the front anymore, not that we really need it I surpose. My only guess they have done away with this is because the old bulbs didn't last long under the vibration. On the other hand this surely could be over come by putting L.E.D lights on the front instead. I'm say this 'cause I like lights!
