Rob, it may have a weaker brushroll, but it wasn't adjusted properly to begin with. I don't like the brush on my Dyson DC 14, but it is pretty aggressive still. I thought it was cute when she tried to turn the Eureka off with the height adjust pedal :o)

I would get the bagged one. But the eureka was set on the wrong floor setting. However I would rather the made in USA hoovers.

Bobby....One reason they chose to use that particular blue Eureka is that this particular Eureka model has a REALLY WIMPY brushroll! I have the hunter green Kenmore version of that Eureka, & you can BARELY feel the brushroll grooming the carpet. If you look at the Eureka's brushroll, it looks like an imitation of the Dyson DC07/DC14/DC33 brushroll. Very common to see these 2nd hand with bald brushrolls in thrift stores.

If you would of had that eureka on the correct floor setting on that hoover rug it would of probably picked up the same as the hoover!! the reason that hoover picked up more than the eureaka wasn't because it has windtunnel technology it was because the eureka was set on the wrong floor setting. I do beleive windtunnel technology probably does lift and trap the dirt but noot on that large of a scale!

You can clearly hear that the other vacuum (blue eureka) height was not correct becuase the brush was not even touching the flow. You heard the hoovers brush but you did not hear the eureka brush

Why didn't she adjust the blue Eureka to the proper height? If the Eureka was that bad, she could have set it to the proper height and done an honest demo! No vacuum is going to pick up the dirt when the height is raised so the brush doesn't touch the carpet!

What's the point of a self cleaning hepa filter? The whole reason hepa filters are used is to catch allergens, but what's the point of catching allergens then returning them into the air when you empty the cup? And other people mentioned it doesn't even work. I would go with the bagless. That's just my opinion.

Bobby...very true, on both counts. She still could have done a better demo & had a funny "oops" moment! LOL. But about your DC14....you really consider your Dyson's brushroll aggressive?!?! My Bissell Healthy Home & Hoover Windtunnel Air Pro would put your Dyson to shame! But that's a discussion for another video....

I have a Dyson. It LOST suction! Granted I have had it about 8 years, but they say it will NEVER lose suction. Not sure I would buy another, especially given the price.

That red/green light thing is such a gimmick - it was coming on and off so randomly!!! Anyone who falls for all that plasticised junk needs to see a retail therapist! Get yourself a Miele. You don't need any lights to tell you the carpets are clean. You can vacuum blindfolded and KNOW they are!!

Both models are junk. The bagged unit's filter bag will clog as it fills up.and it'll lose suction. The bagless unit's filter will also clog and require cleaning/replacing. It's a gimmick. Get a Dyson. They will never clog, never lose suction, and its filters will NEVER clog nor need replacing.

Not true, dyson filters still need to be cleaned and replaced. Also, the whole "vacuums losing suction" claim is very misleading. Vacuums just don't lose all of their suction once the get a some dust in them. You might see a slight decrease in suction, but not enough to the point that it's picking up next to nothing. I wouldn't bother with Dyson, Shark, or any other vacuum brand that you find at major retailers. Maybe get like a Meile or Sebo, or something else a little more durable than those vacs found at big box retail stores. Preferably something that's bagged, and can use HEPA bags.
