I am shopping for a monitor and Lilmon 5 is a contender, What happens when you shoot 4K 60 or 1080p 120 with this monitor? I heard some people saying it goes black. I am trying to make the right purchase. Can someone try to shoot these and let me know. In advance, thank you.

@@OGPea I looked at all of the options and money wasn't an issue when I chose this monitor and I am happy with it. I like that it is light and does what I need it to do. I tried 4K 60/1080 120+ and it worked for me. I am using a Lumix S5IIX recording to a single internal memory card. - I hope this helps. My suggestion is to buy it, update it's software, and try all of the specific things you want from it - if all works as expected, keep it. If something doesn't work, return it. My best to you.

Thanks for the 'killer' information. Quick question. I like the way you have framed you're talking head video would you mind sharing how do you set that up? The focal length aperture F=stop? I'm about ready to step up and purchase a Lumix s5ii and would appreciate your insight! I'll be shooting primarily talking head videos.

I bought this monitor with all people reviewing it really good. Turn out the color is very much off. You cannot setting hue, or even color temperature. Not like any other cheap monitor. Even feelworld f6 and godox are more accurate. Any body know about this?

This maybe a stupid question, but.... Why would you have a monitor, when most of the important settings (ISO, WB, grid, etc) can be seen from a wireless mobile phone with the Lumix Sinc app. Please. Can someone explain this to me. Sincerely, thank you.

Because apps are unstable, unrelieable and working with a phone is a pain in the ass. I tried it but a monitor is much better

In addition to what was mentioned, if you manually focus, it's easier to do so on an external monitor due to its size, and they are generally brighter than the camera's screen. Some of them support LUTs, which help you visualize what the final result will be, while others with anamorphic support allow you to see how the final result will look after stretching the video... It's an additional tool, but a very useful one.

With zebras on, there’s a black to white gradient bar that pops up at the bottom middle of the screen. Do you know if that can be removed? It’s the one things I can’t sort out and it blocks the camera info for me. Thanks in advance!

does it beat the atomos shinobi though? I have a feelworld 7in which is cool but when I switch to that 4k 10 bit...its not having it. Does this work with 10bit?

Personally I prefer this monitor to the ninja Ultra as a pure monitor. Atomos does not handle LUTs well, and this monitor does a really good job.

If you are talking about recording the footage, this won't record, You need Ninja V, If you are talking about 10bit display, none of these are true 10 bit displays it's 8bit + frc

Keep in mind, it may be the camera. Lumix cameras often have lag when sending a signal over HDMI.

yeah most monitors lag but i did notice this one seemed to be a bit slower. on a gimbal or tripod pans, you wouldn't even notice. i was shaking it in a way no one would film haha
