im confused now Mengrelli and Lazi's are descendants of the Ancient Colchians. But The Modern Georgians call their homeland Sakartvelo:the land of the Kartvelians. Now are we Kartvelians or Colchians? if we are Kartvelians who Colchians are? and vice versa? What do you mean by Georgians? those who live in the Georgia? those who spoke a Language of the Caucasian Language family? because it seems that Lazis, Mengrellians and Kartvelians are peaples related to each other. So do you mean that Kartvelians, Lazi's and Mengrellians are peoples that make up the Georgian peoples?

Not to mention the Fact that in the Ancient times the Georgian Geography was roughly split in two. Colchis and İberia or with another name Kartvelia. Both in terms of Language as well as Geographically. not to mention that the there is a Kingdom called Lazica in roughly the same region as the ancient Colchians. And the people itself was taking immense pride in their Colchian ancestors. Whilst in the East the People were calling themselves as Kartvelians for Thousands of years. the Term Georgia was born when the Kingdom of Abkhazia and the Kingdom of Kartvelia united through a Succesion. So if the İberia are Kartvelians than who are the Colchians? if they both spoke the same language and had the same culture than why they remained seperate for centuries? and why the People of Lazika didnt refer to themselves as Kartvelians?

İf you mean by Laz People being Georgians in a Geographic sense Then its true. Laz, Mengrelians and Kartvelian Peoples are Related. İn terms of Language, History ad culture yes the Three peoples influenced by each other for Millenias but if you meant by as Lazi being Culturally, Linguisticaly or shortly in terms of identification then its the same thing as saying that Katalans of Aragon are Castilian Spanish. Or American indigenous peoples are Turks or Poles Lithuanians and Ukrainians are Russians Or im going a little Extreme Hayasdani's are Turks. What you say has the Exact same effect, and do hope that i wont have to explain why each of them are Unpleasant.

@@ylmazirdenyazc8393 uniting of the people and tribes with similar culture and languages makes a nation. Diaokhi-Colkhian (Laz, Megrelian, Svan) Iberian (Karelian, kakhetian, Meskhian) These people united and created the nation under the name kartveli in the country that is call Sakaryvelo ( Georgian and Georgia) That happened everywhere as a Turkish, Italian, Chinese or Russian people. It you don’t feel Georgian that your personal decision. I feel all of you laz people as a part of Georgian nation and love you as my brothers and sisters.
