I love hope parts, but I can barely afford them

im am really proud if being a owner of hope products. it goes in so much love in their stuff, and made to last. i was looking into the the race face turbine cinks since they are cheaper, but ive changed my mind to this after ive read people having minor issues with the turbine. im sure i wont have non with hopes, usual hope quality.

As someone who works around CNC machines an awful lot its great to appreciate how the hope parts that end up on my bike are made!

My bike consists of the following hope parts stem, seat clamp, cranks, bb and hub and I have never had any issues with them and hope is my favourite company, it would be nice if you guys sold all hope products in Australia or at least could get them imported cause not gunna lie it’s hard to get your hands on hope products.

What a great company. I believe that these bicycles may be one of the best well thought out,designed, manufactured and proven in the industry. The employees seem to be very into their work and work well as a team. Way to go Hope, keep up the great work. When I can afford a brand new bike, you'll be one of my very few candidates for my business.

Its so true that when you have occasion to meet real engeneering inventors instead markeing stock bullshit - they all are white.

i love hopes stuff, i just wish that when the products i buy arrive to me there weren't so many chips in the paint, even my new fortus wheels just arrived with some kind of manufacturing double pinch chip marks on them. I know its going to happen eventually, it just would of been nice for £400 that i actually scratched them and not the manufacturer.

the difference from china employers, they really enjoy their jobs, chinese people only wants to get money, I really dont understand how can you really get a job for 20 years without even like what your doing everyday. Nice video!

I would like to be able to afford to buy a crankset like this some day. Although I wish we could get them in some colors other than black. Race Face makes some cranks in colors. But I fear they might come from China. It's so good to see such beautiful quality that doesn't come from China. Great video. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

As with the video on the UK Racing Teams's carbon fibre bike construction, this video depicts high quality, tight tolerance manufacturing.

Works of art really, but unfortunately out of the reach of many. Hence the growth of the Cinese aftermarket parts sales.

Proud to be British with a company like Hope there amazing.
@EduardSLVRU4 жыл бұрын
derek blake It’s exactly the same aluminium as Chinese aluminium with final work in UK. That’s why Hope is so expensive with regular quality. If they drop price lower then their stuff could be more affordable and can be seen on mid range bikes too. Otherwise Hope cannot compete with Shimano and Sram without doubling the price.

I nearly bought a set of Hope cranks as I like their products and like to buy British. Unfortunately, watching videos of the axles snapping really scared me away from them. The stress simulating machine doesn't appear to be simulating correctly as this is a common occurrence.

@antarmolygraphite56916 жыл бұрын
the problem is, that every 3 - 4 months, there is a new standard and NO comptability, so, why buy so expensive parts ?
@user-mu9mj4po8u6 жыл бұрын
antar molygraphite because you don’t need to be up to date with every component. Buy nice or buy twice. If I bought these in 2016 or whatever, I could have them for a decade and they’d still be fine. Don’y feel like you NEED the newest gear
@antarmolygraphite56916 жыл бұрын
I agree 100 % with you. I have a 26' GT zaskar, but, if something broke: wheel, fork, it is very hard to find good, bombproof stuff. only "2nd choice" can be alviable, and only if you spend long time on the web..

Вот вырезают из алюминия обыкновенного 6061 или 7075 фрезеровочным станком, которого собрала другая организация, потом продают по космической цене. Главное им надо хорошо потратиться на рекламу. Все так дорого стоит, что блин пздц.

You probably won't see this now but they've just produced a carbon frame as a prototype.
@Fred1964078 жыл бұрын
+Venrox slip. I kind of knew it would come to Carbon really. Most like Santa Cruz will still produce them in alloy for the cheaper end but I'll guess Hope won't.

They should change to stainless steel threads for the pedal. I have had two Shimano Saint pedal arms going crooked now, i.e the pedals are not horizontal anymore. I thought this would only happen to carbon cranks, not the "strongest crankset in the world". Saints were expensive but these are almost twice that. I am not spending that kind of money on such a weak material as aluminum. 5:06 Hopefully (pun intended) these are stronger.

Kinda wondering about that ridiculous bending of the crankset while the operator casually mentions it simulating a rider going to town with it - Like... Really? Can a rider ACTUALLY bend a crankset like THAT?!

@nightraid5916 жыл бұрын
Its to expensive
@user-mu9mj4po8u6 жыл бұрын
Night Raid well you can argue a lambo is too expensive, but when you look into the engineering and manufacturing you realise it’s justifiable
@mulisha03515 жыл бұрын
you get what you pay for, buy cheap you get cheap. sometimes the price is justified with stuff and Hope being one of them.

Good looking product. Too bad it doesn't make any difference in the bikes performance.
