Hope in Welch, WV

Once a booming coal mine town referred to by many as "Little New York City", Welch, West Virginia has become a memory tucked away in the mountains. Despite the struggles of addiction and economical hardships, there is a beacon of hope at the center of this community in the form of Nain Community Church.

Do you know about the mission located in the old HS called McDowell Missions? Our church helps sponsor it. The director is Jay Wilson. They do an awesome job with helping the Welch area.

Dying town , No hope for it .

It still has life. Maybe not close to what it once was, but the people is still the same. It’s a very friendly town.
