This is a great video! Lester did a video about a year and a half ago when Gracie, his cow, was having a calf breach. Uriel and Bree were there to help and Bree could not stand the feel of the wet calf and sack. She was gagging and gagging! Cleaning out the gumbo pot was definitely worse.😂😂❤❤

Ryan, I know how you feel. I always had a gag reflux , some people call it a weak stomach . If this happens again, put a heavy duty plastic bag over the top of your pot and turn the pot over. All of the stuff will go in the bag. If you have any Vicks vapor rub, you can rub a small amount under your nose, that will help. As a young kid, I could not handle bad smells. Always got sick to my stomach, then when my little cousins can along my aunt taught me how to handle that. Vicks vapor rub works miracles. Ryan, procrastination always leads to a harder time than necessary. I have a tendency to procrastinate as well. Then I always wish I had just done it earlier. I try to love my neighbors and help them out when I can. I find that being a retired teacher I am often called upon to teach someone how to do something. My hobby is making greeting cards. Last week I was asked how to make a certain kind of folded card that my friends had never made before.

It was a batch of gumbo I made the week before. I was going to freeze a lot and give a lot away but since I was simmering it outside, bugs got in it. I got busy and wasn’t able to clean it for a week so it got pretty rotten 🤢

I worked with coroners with law enforcement who placed vicks under their nose when dealing with death or unpleasant odors to help kill the smell. Also pour cat litter in the pot to soak up the liquid to be able to pour it into bags and have no leaks.

Vicks Vapor Rub is your friend for "stinky" jobs, a good gob in each nostril cover most smells. I might have found someone that hunts hogs and let them use it for bait, tell them to bring the pot back empty lol

Ryan, the trick is to breathe through your mouth not your nose. You can also put Vicks, essential oil or lotion under your nose to help with the smell. I learned that in health care. ♥️♥️♥️
