HOPEKOOK : Jungkook Protects Hobi From Scary Crowd At Airport | Story Time

While a huge crowd at the airport upon BTS's arrival is nothing new, this particular day was quite extreme, and Jungkook had to protect his Hobi hyung from it. Being worldwide superstars, it is given that people would do whatever it takes to see a glimpse of BTS. But sometimes it gets a little too much.

I totally agree. It can get dangerous for sure being that close because you're right they are very nice and polite but the crowd is not always and becomes an unintentional mob with huge crowds like that. It's very scary. Never want anything to affect their good health or safety. That's first always!

This is actually really scary to see. I already had a lot of respect for Jungkook, but this just increased it by another 1000%. 💜 He managed to protect Hobi while still being respectful and polite to the crowd/media. It's so touching how JK protected his Hobi hyung even at the risk of getting mobbed himself. JK's love for his hyungs is so pure. It's also admirable how Hobi and JK showed their appreciation for the crowd despite being overwhelmed. Both Incheon Airport and Hybe security should find a way to protect BTS better on their next overseas trip. These precious men should be protected at all costs.

Thank you, Colt Nava, for once again providing an excellent and trustworthy video. This is my first report of how terrifying the crowd was on BTS's return from the US after being at the White House. I am upset at myself for not realizing that there would be such an understandable interest. My apologies to the members... their fame and powerful influence will only increase the crowd where ever they go. I am very very relieved that Ho-seok had Jung-kook to hang on to. I can hardly imagine how overwhelming the energetic suck and noisy demanding disturbances must be to our boys... especially to our most sensitive Ho-seok. I am not fooled that any number of body guards could hold back a mob determined to get near the members once they got out of control and stampeded . How would we consol ourselves if any of the precious 7 got hurt in any way. That is why ARMY 50 to 90 million strong must do its part to keep our BTS 7 safe and protected. It is our responsibility as fans to be the Boundaries that BTS 7 need and deserves.

This behaviour is beyond embarrassing. How do you, as a person, even think that mobbing your idols is acceptable? They’re exhausted from a long flight, the last thing they want is paparazzi and annoying fans up in their face. These people seriously need to put themselves in their shoes for once, it’s tiring and disrespectful. The fact that Hobi tried his hardest to almost curl up into Jk, should be enough for you to back off and let them be. I can’t stand people like this.

Anything scheduled requires so much security. The downside of being idols. I don't think most truly realize the sacrifices they'll make when they achieve popularity of this magnitude. It's sad that this is happening, but apparently there is a huge backlash in SK against the security teams of idol groups and entertainers because they have seen as "too rough" and "inhumane" to so called fans and media who are intruding on celebrities' space and privacy. Airport security should have been all over that crowd outside. They did a good job of protecting the boys inside but totally failed once they went through the doors. Those fans/reporters were horrible and way too aggressive.

It's so sweet that Jungkook was so attentive and protective, but they shouldn't have been put in a situation where that was even necessary. I will NEVER understand why people think it's ok to mob them like this. BTS have flown into the airport near me many times, and I've never once gone, because even though I'd absolutely love to see them up close, I would never want to be part of a crowd like this. I'll stick to screaming and crying with the crowd at their concerts, not the mob at the airport. If people would just keep a respectful distance instead of crowding around them like this it would be fine. I wish their security was stricter tbh :(

A crowd like that can easily cause a stampede. It's terrifying when they're squished in like that. It also infuriates me that people act like that getting waay too close. The boys are all class greeting and waving fans. In this situation. I think they need more security. Separate them into 2 groups . When one group is safe in their cars. The security goes back and gets the second creating a circle barrier. There has to be better planning.

I've expressed in the past how deeply uncomfortable I am so much as watching them go through the air port. Personal space and covid where do I begin? Humans can put a man on the moon and invent WiFi but can fix proper logistics to safely get 7 humans ( and yes let's remember they're people) safely from point a to point b at the airport. This is not ok. The airport needs to do better for high priority people. Bighit and airport staff along with bighit security and airport security need to plan better for these situations that we all know will arise in the future. Things need to change.

It pisses me off to no end that our boys are not better protected from the crowd. I don’t even know how this is allowed given that they are cultural ambassadors to Korea and should have more protection. It’s not even so much the fans as it’s the paparazzi. The press should be limited to designated areas. They have zoom lenses they can use if they want a close up photo. Let’s hope that nothing bad happens before they actually take measures to improve their protection.

I feel like something went wrong there. So far as I've seen, usually Incheon does a really good job of coralling people away from arriving stars ( take a look at what they did for Yuzuru Hanyu at the 2018 Olympics for example). So this was not only out of control but unusual. Poor Hobi was literally clinging to JK.
