Y'all might like this... I accidentally bought Bayside's "Cult" tonight, thinking it was a new album by The Cult (Ian Astbury/Billy Duffy's long running rock band). I haven't unwrapped it yet, thinking "what the hell, I'll just give it a quick listen on KZbin" and much to my surprise, I LIKE IT! I almost NEVER like music by new bands! Gotta admit though, these songs sound great! So, excuse me while I unwrap this CD... I think it's a keeper.

This is exactly why this record is called "Cult". Bayside is such an underrated band no one really gets, and mostly people find out about them the weird way. They acknowledge that in their music and strange humor.

Bayside came to be in 2005, so they're hardly new, but new to you is just as cool. Enjoy- all the stuff is amazing and it has helped me through more than a few of life's seasons.
