When I was very little, SDA missionaries would come tell us how GOD had delivered them from persucution. Im grateful for the teaching of the last days at that church.They told me people would do terrible things to us because we worshipped the Sabbath. Their coming for anyone that holds fast to Jesus, but those early years definitely prepared me for today, and for that I am incredibly grateful. Love ya.

When I was going to classes to become a member and be Baptised, the pastor gave me the book the great controversy and I couldn't put it down. Pastor Mark Finely is a great teacher. Listening to him have allowed me and my husband to make some adjustments in our belief. May God bless and inspire you Pastor. The bible doesn't say we can't wear jewelry, we as followers of Christ need to be moderate in how we dress. You find that people wear expensive jewelry to show they are important. Why buy a $10,000 bracelet when there are soo many poor people that surrounds you? Wearing a ring or jewelry is not a sin when you do it in modesty. When you are married and wears a ring, it shows respect to your mate and saving someone from lustful sin. It's only people who wears expensive clothes and jewels to get attention, creates a problem in the church. Walking in righteousness and professing God's truth, determines you are and your true character when you are born again.

The Bible tells us man became a soul when God breathed life into Adams Nostrils (Genesis 2:7) Man doesn't have immortality of himself, but Christ does (1 Timothy ch 6:15-16) The Doctrine of Immortal Souls lines up perfectly with what The Serpent swayed Eve with: Genesis 3:4: "And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:" All false Religions share the doctrine of Immortal Souls, If we read in-between the lines of John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Please pastor put me and my family in a prayer list. I’ve been severely sick in severe pain for years and for reconciliation, God knows already, but I’ve been spiritually attacked for years. Sometimes when I’m in shock and can’t think clear, I feel like God is mad at me, I stayed in really high adrenaline issues, severe mast cell reactions, brains swelling with my whole body on fire in severe pain, sometimes I get grumpy, or ramble with no filter to soften what I say. I’ve never been like that. Is God mad at me? I’ve had such crazy health unexplainable near death since I was born. Severe ailments. I don’t think I’m prideful, I fast, pray, weep, I’m very isolated. Grew up going to the same church, always tried to help. But for two years, the pain all over my body hit 5-6 times a day, absolute torture, I love God with all of me, but I’m having lots and of ptsd, I’m so isolated , got blamed for so much, when my mind was infected with covid. Now, I can’t afford to go to a dr, so I use what I can with herbs, detox…. I pray so hard to be reconciled, I’m very confused. I’m thank you ❤️🙏

I was raised Adventist but am now atheist. My purpose is not to argue doctrine but to ask a couple questions. I’ve met very very few people who could survive a week in the mountains without electricity or survival know how. Our mountains are not just vacant wilderness. Most remote places require permits. The reality of loading up a vehicle and actually living off the land is inconceivable to just about everyone. The mountains do not typically grow plants that can sustain for any length of time. Do you know what is edible? Do you own a gun for hunting meat? Do you eat meat? If you went in the winter, can you build some sort of protection from the elements? Is it legal to do that on national forest or parklands? What if you go in the summer. You certainly would be in trouble building a fire during fire season. Somehow, it just is not only not practical, but it is illegal. I don’t know this pastor, but I would gladly take him for a week survival trip here in Oregon. This trusting in god to take care of your needs doesn’t pan out when it comes to hunger and potable water. One just does not drink from a mountain creek and expect to stay healthy. How did it work out for all those who died under Stalin, Hitler, and Mao? 20 million deaths and it seems like there should have been at least 1/100th of 1 % who had the faith required to expect miracles from god in order to sustain them. It didn’t happen. I looked up some of the kids on Facebook today, that I went to school with. I recognized the catch phrases they all quoted from childhood to their present retirements. EGADS! I felt my body tightening up. You are still “proclaiming gods truths” , eating mountains of haystacks at gatherings, and quoting Old Testament proof texts that have nothing to do with the present. When I was in school, we weren’t allowed to play competitive sports. Now I’m reading that the very same school I went to has competing ball teams. WHAT CHANGED? I think I’ll stop right here, though I’m seeing so much contradiction. I escaped once and don’t intend to do it again. Meanwhile, I still love my family, my dog, am a good neighbor, despise Trump ( the guy that 2 Timothy perfectly describes and advises “have nothing to do with such people”), and I support my favorite charities with automatic monthly donations. Being atheist did not make me change into an evil person. I have no agenda. I’m still the same good guy, but I see no valid reason to believe in a god. That’s the only thing that’s changed in my person. I’m sure glad I’m not saddled with the guilt your people heap on the public. I was not born guilty unto death, such as you teach.
