A good study generally. Thanks, Pastor Mark. I especially like the part when you shared that God gives authority when we believe and receive the Word of God. We are born again. The Word gives us the information needed for salvation. When we receive it--the gift of salvation--God gives power to believe His Word, power to obey and live by it, power to overcome the sinful lifestyle--the sanctifying power. Thank You Holy Spirit!

Listening from Northwest Kansas, a few years back my brother Mark said you like Mark Finley. That is when I got back into listening to Mark. I remember He said 1844 is the last Bible prophecy. Yes true. He also said we cannot put a date on Christ second coming. Yes true also. I like a pastor who has the truth in him. Our current pastor does too.

The sad but poignant story of the young man who turned down his pardon very powerfully illustrates the difference between reputation and character. He had the reputation of being a very good boy. His actions showed who he truly was. He was in a place and with companions he ought not to have been with; he became overcome by anger, he used a weapon to harm someone, etc. These no doubt were not traits practiced by the fellow when he was around certain family and neighbors but when around friends he was someone else. So remember friend and family may not know, but God knows. Our character-- who we truly are, is known by God and the holy angels. Let us endeavor to please Him in everything we do for that is character.

Couldn’t wait for this blockbuster of a lesson- so many pick up points, Jesus the Master Himself revealing Himself, Him the life of men, Zoe (loved that word moreso in England we have radio DJ who got famous through her fast wit and music selections and who she got married to: not necessarily Christian ), He takes away the sin of the world, John 3:16, the thief who comes to steal at night but Jesus to gives us life more abundantly, Jesus as the serpent on a pole), etc, to the harrowing story of the young man executed for refusing the pardon from the governor ….. thank you once again Pastor Mark. May God indeed bless you again and again as you bless His children. Amen
