I really hope Hope sees this, or someone else already mentioned it. The fabric that was used in that tik tok I'm almost 100% sure is Liquid Metallic Satin, if it's not that there are two others that are super close as well, Liquid Organza, and Liquid Lame. All three are metallic in appearance with different levels of opacity. Hope that helps!

Yeah, these were party favors from Oriental Trading when millennials were kids. Now I wonder if we still have one hiding in a box of old toys… noisemakers, the bane of all parents. 😂 I forgot about swinging over the head. We also used quick wrist twists to make it arch back and forth. We definitely did all things you did, Hope, so you did just fine.

The sweet potato dessert: they likely used Ube yams, which have a caramel/vanilla/hazelnut kind of flavor and are sweeter than our typical yellow sweet potato. Ube is also naturally purple and the purple pigment was once highly sought after as a natural dye.

It was a Japanese desert, so they probably used Okinawan sweet potato. Ube is not a common ingredient in Japanese cuisine.

You need to use actual purple sweet potatoes or yams (Ube) for that sweet potato desert. They have a pleasant sweet vanilla taste that would be excellent for it. If you have any health food stores or Asian markets, you can usually find one or the other. I hate orange sweet potatoes but the purple sweet potatoes are amazing especially with some sweet coconut milk drizzled over.

For removing glitter from hair (from a dancer who often has a glitter hair look) - SCALP SCRUB! Head and shoulders has a great one. Might take 2 uses but it works way better than shampoo alone! Also try using a clear gel as a base before the glitter, that way less ends up on the actual scalp ❤❤ Looks amazing!!!

For the purple ice cream noodles, they likely used ube, or the japanese purple sweet potato for the dish, theres also a purple yam in the states that could have been used. But the flavors of all of those are different from reg orange sweet potato or yam. And a sweet cream custard as a base would be great with it. Just remember in asian dishes most of the time purple foods usually means ube was used.

Just spent 2 months in Tokushima, Japan and they have special sweet potatoes there (Naruto Kintoki). They do so many cool things with them. My favorite was the basic sweet potato tempura, but it was amazing to see how creative the restaurants and dessert shops would get with sweet potatoes.
