The thing you said about the exposed threads being potentially damaged while in normal use made me realize why Surefire likely made such an unusual attachment system. They aren't the only ones to make a thread-less attachment system, but it seems to be a military specific requirement. Now I know why.

@@mrs.vasquezz In fact I am using zilch along with wolfpack's flash hider and I love that combo. From what I saw in the video zilch is deeper, it completely covers the wrench flats, while wolfpack covers about a half. Both are great depending on the build.

I PERSONALLY like keymo the best because, even though not as proven as surefire in terms of a ratcheting system, still very tested and tried while having a HUGE atmosphere. Plus, don't have to worry about damaging threads

I switched to rearden from the YHM system, I was only into YHM for 1 flash hider and the mount, glad I did. The rearden is a lot lighter and more low profile and the wolfpack armory flash hider was pretty cheap and fits well.

This is the route I'd recommend if you don't go native key-mo or a straight barrel to suppressor direct thread. I like the fact that i don't have to mess with locking collars or risk adapters detaching. That said, if I'm going HUB-mount compatible, it's plan b style for the low profile look.

I believe the difference with the spectercat style mount style by looking at it, is not just left hand thread, but is also it’s using a more robust acme style thread pitch with the taper area closer to the threads giving a more compact package. Looks pretty smart design to me. 🤷♂️

Just put in my Atlas’s in my cans. Wasn’t able to hit torque spec, but I did 2 drops of rocksett and tightened down as much as I could. New to cans and not really sure how to torque to spec by just holding in my hands. I grabbed a smaller wrench and gave it a few ugga duggas. Hopefully it holds 😕

AAC question - do folks recommend getting old AAC 762SD, 762SD-N6 cans modified to the pose new Plan B systems? AAC wants a LOT of money to convert (but say that restores your warranty). 3rd party options are far cheaper. But with 3 cans and dozens of AAC 51-T mounts, the total cost to move away from the inferior 51 toothed system is prohibitive!

Griffin died make a plan-B based adapter their dual lock is interesting with the addition of a secondary locking collar and 120 tines around the base of the muzzle device. They fixed the taper location on these also putting it after the threads. But the system seems kinda fidgety and expensive

Also to make matter even more simple in here i can get supressor for every gun for just walking to store. @@Hoplopfheil I just watched that video, thanks. Doesn’t work on pistols too because it takes the place of the booster. It’s a PCC only mounting solution. I have a MP5 in .22lr (authorized réplica by Walther, not a real H&K) with a tri-lug definitely not getting a compatible supressor just for it. I’ll just install the adapter to direct threads that Walther sells for it (I got one on my .22lr PPK/S and they are compatible). I’m entertaining the idea of getting a .223 rated can (I own an AR) and use it with my .22lr too. Is that a bad idea? Are Rimfire ammo so dirty that I will gum up the suppressor quickly and get a baffle strike with the 5.56 and ruin my can?

Shooting a lot of rimfire through a sealed rifle can is a big risk. They're much harder to clean as well. I'd just avoid doing that altogether unless you want to clean it very frequently.

I live in one of the few European countries that regulate suppressors (not as bad as in the US with the ATF, but still), so I wanted to cut the red tape in half and they cost a lot of €s here (and they are dirt cheap in the countries where they aren’t regulated, what a shock). I’ll bite the bullet and buy two cans, one for 5.56 and one dedicated to .22lr that is easy to disassemble and clean (if it fits my ultrasonic cleaner, even better). Thanks again, Hop. Cheers.

As an airsoft player, it's irritating seeing how nice the realsteal boys have it with this stuff. Threads are never to any real spec, always too short, too long, slightly off pitch, uneven crowns, etc. My P90 has a barrel too long for the can so it's just sticking out an inch, but still touches the bottom side of the suppressor muzzle. I'm always worried about jamming my M4 into a barrier or the dirt at some point and now my bbs are just filling up the inside of my can. Well, at least I'm too poor to afford a real one, so I won't have to worry about a real baffle strike lol

Interesting that Hop has had OSS/Huxwrx cans stick so aggressively after a mag (whether literal or hyperbolic). I can't say that I've had one stick any worse than needing two hands to remove mine. Rearden does make some solid stuff, though. If I had to use a different mount ecosystem, it'd probably be Rearden.

Mine is a HX-QD 556Ti with the flash cap, so it's relatively new. I can't say if it's a flow 556k or 762Ti specific thing, however. I've also only used the muzzle brake (thus far) so I also cannot attest to any flash hider ring, yet.

Honestly the best muzzle devices for this mounting solution! I have both the 6315rf and 3P15. And they do exactly what forward controls and revival defense designed them to do. Mitigate flash and direct muzzle blast. While mounting a can. I would suggest a thread protector like HOP if playing exposed.

I just got an OCL Polonium K and I'm using Rearden mounts and when i unthread the suppressor the hub mount tends to stick to the muzzle device and unthread itself from the suppressor. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Kinda makes me nervous. Should I add a small dab of rocksett to the hub mount?

@@benjaminfish7602 Alright. Prior to my approval I only had access to the can at an indoor range so I was pretty limited on what I could do. Probably the torque alone will take care of this issue. I noticed in the box they have a little vice block to put the suppressor in a vice(I assume) and I gots me a good torque wrench and some high temp thread locker.

I was very close to going with this mount, but I went with Dead Air Xeno. Similar design, a little bit longer adapter, but LH threads. I'm pretty happy with it

I just switched from ASR to Rearden / Plan B like a month ago. It is SO much lighter. Especially with the titanium adapter. I have the Atlas on my main suppressor but I'm thinking about picking up the Revival Defense titanium adapter for my other can. It's a little lower profile and has slots to use a castle nut wrench to tighten it down. I have a few Rearden muzzle devices but my favorite is the 3P15 from revival defense. It's a 2 inch three prong and it's awesome. They also make an A2 style muzzle device that's compatible with it

I have a few of these. They work really well. I like the more positive wrench flats on the SD Tactical mounts than those on the Rearden Atlas.

Polonium-k in stock at Capitol armory Rearden atlas in stock east valley tactical (on reardens dealer page) Atlas XL in stock multiple places I just order my polo last night, and atlas today. Still debating on muzzle device, liberty bell or rearden single port brake (both in stock)
