Speed limit 45km/h ? Easy to change the 3 tires ? Narrow so we can park everywhere like a bicycle? What os the range of 1 battery ? On the hills what is the power of the motor ?

Speed limit is 25 km/h (at least in Germany you're not allowed in the bike lane and need a registration and a drivers license for bikes up to 45 km/h). Tires are ease to change, it's just a bit over one meter wide so you can park wherever a cargo bike can park. The range is up to 60 km and the max power of the motor is 1350 W and 112 Nm.

We are developing soft cover elements which you can attach when it's really windy or really cold. For 'normal' rain and weather conditions, you're very well taken care of with the roof and the windshield

Nicht schlecht und die Tests überzeugen gut. Jetzt sollten nur noch richtige Türen mit Fensterhebern angebracht werden können. Scheibenwischer wäre elektronisch besser. Gibt's 'ne Wegfahrsperre oder sonstiger Diebstahlschutz?

Das Dach schützt schon ziemlich gut vor Regen (und gegebenenfalls vor der Sonne). Wenn das Wetter dann mal richtig mies ist, gibt es optionale Seitenplanen, die man einfach anlegen und abnehmen kann. Die Planen halten das Wasser/den Regen gut ab. Feste Türen und Fensterheber sind nicht vorgesehen. Die sind einerseits schwer (geht zu Lasten der Reichweite) und teuer. Andererseits ist der Hopper ein Fahrrad, weshalb wir uns für das seitlich offene Konzept entschieden haben. Der Handscheibenwischer funktioniert gut, ein mit Motor betriebener ist dennoch denkbar. Zu guter Letzt zur Sicherheit: Ja, es gibt die Möglichkeit, den Hopper mit einem Pin zu schützen. Wem das nicht reicht, kann ihn zudem - wie ein klassisches Fahrrad oder Motorrad - mit einem Kettenschloss sichern.

Ich sag's an der Stelle nochmal: Ohne fest verschließbare Fahrerkabine ist auch kein Diebstahlschutz gegeben. Außerdem sind die Druckknöpfe der Folientüren schon anfällig für Verschleiß. Es gibt gute Alternativlösungen von Veemo, z.B. Wenn ihr das in Hamburg nicht hinbekommt, kann ich hier nicht investieren.

Was möchtest du denn vor Diebstahl schützen mit den Türen? Für das Fahrzeug selbst gibt es andere Möglichkeiten (Pin-Code, Wegfahrsperre, Fahrradschloss) und für Dinge, die du im Fahrzeug lassen magst gibt es den Kofferraum, da ist alles mit einem Handgriff verstaut und abgesperrt. Die Folientüren sind noch in der Entwicklung, dabei geht es unter anderem auch darum, dass sie nicht zu schnell verschleißen, das haben wir also durchaus im Blick.

@@hoppermobility Ich bin Musiker und würde schon gerne mal den ein oder anderen Gitarrenkoffer transportieren (Hierzu wäre eine bei Bedarf herausnehmbare Rückbank sehr hilfreich!) - Deshalb verschließbare Türen!

We consider ourselves lucky to live and work in Germany, Europe, and we're well aware that European living and productions standards don't come from nothing. We're producing in Germany and getting our parts mostly from German and European companies. In addition, as a startup we currently don't build large numbers of vehicles. As soon as numbers grows the price will most likely go down, due to a higher level of automatization and better purchasing conditions with suppliers.

The average new car in the US was 47.000 $ in 2023. And you have running costs which are much higher for a car compared to the Hopper as well. So why not be cheaper, cooler and much more sustainable with the Hopper.

it's too wide for most bike lanes and it's, wait for it ,,,,, NOT a bike. people will inevitably block the bike lanes when parking for a delivery or shopping . it will force bike riders to swerve out into the car traffic making for a ver dangerous situation.

@@siriosstar4789 Well, parking on the bike lane is not allowed. But you can park on the sideway if you're not blocking the way. And if there's no space it will be much easier to find a spot between cars to park the Hopper for a moment. Same rule for riding on the bike lane: if you have space to go there you should (and the Hopper is not much wider than a common cargo bike), if there's not enough space you should switch to the road. If you stick to the rules there are no issues, if you don't, there might be, but that's the case for any road, bike lane or sidewalk user out there.

There will be side covers to close the sides and to be perfectly protected against rain and keep some warmth inside. But even without side covers, you won't get wet when it's raining in a 'normal' way.

No side doors no side windows anyone can just jump in it and steal it, or steal parts from inside it or vandalize it not to mention you can't ride it in the rain everything including the electronics would be soaked back to the drawing board it wouldn't have passed inspection on my watch 🤔

Parking it under the open sky while it's raining? No problem! Parking it outside with piles of snow on it? No problem. Riding it while it's raining? No issue at all, in fact, that's one of the Hopper's favorites! Riding it when the sun is out and birds are singing? Even more fun! Vandalism? Well, that's one thing the Hopper cannot do anything against by itself (yet?). So just like all the other bikes, cars, motorbikes, quads, younameit out there. What you can do, when you don't have a safe space to park it and don't feel comfortable to park it out on the street just like this, is put a lock on it and a soft cover over it, that will already help a lot.

Ich sehe da, um ehrlich zu sein, nicht den Vorteil zum E-Bike. Das E-Bike hat noch viel weniger Probleme mit dem parken. Das E-Bike ist handlicher. Es gibt Bikes, die können eine hohe Geschwindigkeit erreichen, die dann sind aber auch anmeldungenpflichtig. Mit einem üppigen Korb hat man auch fast den gleichen Kofferraum. Nette Idee, aber ich sehe da kein Markt für. Allerdings würde das Ding mit Türen (mit Fenstern) und ein rein elektrischen Antrieb als gutes Stadtauto taugen wenn es auf die 70km/h kann und seine 100km erreicht.

Nicht nass zu werden auf dem Weg durch die Stadt, eine schützende Karosserie, um sich herum zu haben, einen abschließbaren Kofferraum und bald ein Solardach, dass die Batterie auflädt, ohne sie einstecken zu müssen, sehen wir schon als klare Vorteile gegenüber dem klassischen Fahrrad. Klar ein bisschen mehr Platz zum Parken als bei einem einspurigen Fahrrad braucht man schon, aber da der Hopper ein Fahrrad ist, ist er nicht auf Parkplätze angewiesen, sondern darf dort abgestellt werden, wo er nicht im Weg steht. Er darf auf den Radweg, muss nicht angemeldet werden, man braucht keinen Führerschein und keine Versicherung. Alles wie beim Fahrrad eben. Nur mit Dach über dem Kopf.☔

@@hoppermobility gerne werde ich mich mal damit beschäftigen... vorher würde ich aber noch kurz interessieren warum man für den Roller keine Versicherung braucht und ob der jetzt schon autark läuft? sprich wird erschon mit solar modulen ausgeliefert... aber bis jetzt würde ich die janze sache so auf achtnhalb schätze aber da wäre es schon gut wenn seitenverkleidung und solarmodul mit dabei wäre. Ich sehe auch den Punkt das alles Regional bezogen wird was ich sehr gut finde, aber kann mir den Preis nich gutreden...
