Do you have any inside information if Sabfoil will come out with thinner 1550 for heavier people? Like imaginery 1560 foil.?
@hoppline29 күн бұрын
Hey, unfortunately I don't have any insights. May I ask what your weight is? I know some people that are holding on the the 1550 for ages because they think they need it, but I guess they would be better off using the 1350. Less lift for sure, but plenty for most. And if you can handle the 1350, the 1360 is just a minor step (-:

Thanks for video! When might we see v5 slingshot , nxt review, and comparison between those and v4 hh..
@hoppline2 ай бұрын
Coming very soon. I already had a few pretty good sessions on the NXT but would like to have a couple more in various winds and waves for a final verdict. Spoiler: It's definitely a keeper. For the V5: I will hopefully get a demo very soon and will compare it to the V4 HH and the NXT. I already looked up the specs and my main complain about the V4 was that for the small person like me the bigger sizes were sometimes hard to handle because of the very long center strut. Looks like the strut on the V5 is a little shorter again....we'll see (-:

Thanks for the review. Have you tried the Armstrong XPS and if so, how would you compare it to the FOne offerings?

Hey, unfortunately I only had one chance to try it but we had no wind. So I can't say much about it. I might have a chance to test it soon. The F-One wing was a very positive surprise. Loved the handles (-:

@@hoppline thank you. Yeah, that wind thing is a finicky friend. Can you use the boom on the F-One Swing or only the Strike?
@hopplineАй бұрын
@@ShaunGCarpenter Boom works on both. Unfortunately the boom was not available for my demo but it's going to be a nice addition. I love booms and use handles only for traveling.

Good review, thank you! What is the best wing in your opinion? The reason I'm askig I'm still winging with F-One Strike V.2 which I like a lot (good low end, lightness) and I'm think it's time to update my wings.

Hey, hard questions because it involves a lot of personal preference and is highly tied to your style of riding, skills and wind conditions, but I can give you a recommendation based on my experience and user case. I am 65 kg (70kg wet). I mainly do free ride with the occasional jumps and some tanker and wind swell wave riding. I LOVE booms and hard handles and except for pure open ocean surf sessions will never go back to soft handles. If money is not an issue my favorite wing at the moment is the Slingshot NXT. Super stiff, responsive, light and probably the best boom out there. Downside: Boom is a tat heavy and so is the price tag. I will make a full review on the NXT very soon, just want to put a few more sessions on it before making a final verdict. Second pick would probably be the SWING V4 for ease of use. It's got the best handles out there, even better than the Slingshot ones in terms of protection. As far as I know the boom is unfortunately missing the pistol grip. Did not get a chance to try it yet. If I was living anywhere near the ocean and get to spend more time in waves the Swing might be my first pick. If you are more on a budget, the Vantage Batwing is still a super great wing. I just received GEN 2 for a demo and they have fixed just the right things. Handles are not my favorite but I think my demo wing might not have the final production handles. Still waiting on feedback from Vantage on this one.
