the amount of growth Hop has shown especially when it comes to his hooks is mind boggling. The main thing that people had a difficult time with, was his hooks in his earlier stuff. His older stuff never had the hooks to capture the audience the way it does now. He started dropping fire hooks in his singles in 2017 when shit started hitting the fan. Ever since then his hooks have been catchy af and memorable too.

“The Third Family” sounds like you abandoned your high school girlfriend after finding out that she’s pregnant, moving off to college to then marry some chick at the age of 21 to have a kid that you eventually end up also abandoning, and then you come to terms with your commitment issues and find a good wife that you are having a child with, so now we are your third attempt at having a family. I mean to be completely honest. It feels like rap has evolved beyond what Biggie and Tupac delivered. Don't get me wrong, they were the top dogs of their time, but times change and if I were to compare them to today's Hopsin, I'd be in a dilemma. The reason I am is because I'm nostalgic of both Tupac and Biggie, but if I were to lay my nostalgia to rest I can see Hopsin creeping up on the horizon. I think he has higher potential than they did. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense to me to currently put him at or above their level. His music is nothing other than lit, I gotta rate it 10/10. I think Hopsin is being slept on only because of old principles and an old evaluation system, it's like we can't vacate that empty space that the great ones once held, like it's some sort of void no one will ever get to touch again, which imo is wrong. It should never be empty, personally I think that current space belongs to Eminem and has been for many years. Hopsin just feels like a prime canditate to be the next title holder after Eminem vacates it. It just feels like the most logical line of succession.

First one I thought you were a little cocky, couple more I saw I thought, eh, he seems to know his shit, didn't give much thought after that. This song is top3 Hop songs for me, so when I saw you reacted to it had to click on it. I thought I figured out every bar in this song long time ago, I missed the "UP" double in the first verse, and lowering the harness, as when they lower a casket into the ground, on the 2nd verse. Plus I never noticed those high hats during some of switch ups, great fucking ear! I used to work part time at a recording studio and thought I had a pretty good ear but damn, i might be getting old..lol.
