Horbury Victoria Band

What a blast from my Banding past. Never expected to see this Band on youtube.As a Horbury lad I played 1st Tenor Horn for them in the early 1960's and moved on From the Huddersfield School of Music to the Royal College of Music London. One memory was playing in a Contest at Dewsbury Town Hall and the Test Piece was Mozart's Eine Kleine Music. I went on to Conduct the Isle of Ely College Brass Ensemble and The Ancient Order of Foresters Brass Band Liecester for five years. Great Fun. Now at 72 I play in the West Midlands Concertina Band and Busk for Military Charities[i.e.Blind Veterans etc...] on that Instrument with backing tracks.

Fabulous ensemble, executed superbly

What a lovely programme. I especially liked the precision and the ensemble in"The Waltonian." The imaginitive use of percussion was superb and as a Synth player myself the Keyboard was a very nice touch. How did they do in this Competition?
