This game appears to be set just after the Derangement, so I doubt we'll meet Aloy.

Since during this setting (start of Derangement), Aloy would still be a small child aka still in tutorial, I don't expect that to happen. However, they could always hop the game into the future later in the story, so I can't rule anything out.

@@GreyMatterShades especially because the horizon games were in third person. the Watcher which is the smallest and the weakest machine is the size of a freaking Velociraptor (as shown in the movies. IRL they were the size of a small to medium dog). In third person view, they appear to be tiny. They are actually massive. VR does really put things into perspective. I dont have a VR headset but I tried my friend's vr once. I might just buy one to play this game (If and when this comes to pc.)

@@AXCBER Yeah, I can't wait to see some of the bigger machines, and just the scenery in general. Some of the press who went hands-on with this game said a few of the climbing sections were giving them vertigo (in a good way). As for this game coming to PC VR, it might eventually but that probably wouldn't be the best way to play it. Horizon Call of the Mountain is being designed to take advantage of the PSVR 2's features so you'd miss out on things like the eye tracking, improved haptics, and adaptive triggers when playing on a different headset. If you were counting on getting a PSVR 2 to use with a PC, I doubt it'll be officially compatible any time soon. Hackers/modders might be able to get it to work, but its likely that many features wouldn't work properly for a while, and it might never work completely. Hopefully you do get into VR though. It's the most immersive way to play videogames by far. In the past the selection of VR games has been a bit lacking, but the PC VR modding scene is doing amazing work, and hopefully PSVR 2 gets a bunch of big budget VR games (or flat games with well integrated VR modes like Resident Evil Village). It's a great time to jump in!

@@Danuxsy when they showed vr games form psvr1, the games looked better in the headset then in the gameplay videos. I expect the same here. Also psvr2 uses eye-tracking and foveated rendering, wich means it just renders what you are seeing in high quality.

@@trikky8341 It really depends on what game you tried. There are games like Beat Saber that keep making people go back to it. For me, even just 2-3 experiences justified buying PSVR. Just for playing Astro, Resident Evil 7 and Beat Saber it was worth it. And there are so many other cool experiences.

@Ghan Ah yeah, I always wanted to try the mods. I bought a lot of music packs and I have a lot of content on PSVR, but yeah, the mod community seems great. PSVR2 will have a standard USB-C connection, so hopefully we'll either get PC compatibility or for sure someone will write a driver so it can be used in Windows. I expect it to be working on PC within a month of release :)

One thing I would REALLY like, is if we could shuffle around our ammo layouts in our Weapon Wheels. With all these new weapons and ammo types, being able to modify their placement would I think be a huge advantage. Also, it would make them so much cooler AND more organized.

Horizon zero dawn. Прошёл первую часть, сейчас во вторую играю. Таких эмоций от игр не испытывал с самого детства. Разработчики из Gorilla games постарались: главная героиня, историю которой ты проходишь буквально с самого детства, привязываешься к ней и симпатизируешь, музыка, композиторы которой вставляли в игру звуки разных предметов, заморочились с музыкой разных племён (по сюжету люди живут племенами), графика (особенно на консолях нового поколения), геймплей (создать роботизированных животных, каждое - уникальное, со своими повадками, своими действиями, этих животных можно приручать, натравливать друг на друга, ездить на них и летать), потрясающий открытый мир, и не пустой мир, а мир, в котором всегда есть, чем заняться: очень интересные квесты (например, вчера я полетал на сломанном воздушном шаре), куча оружия (нет, не куча, шире: колоссальное множество, которое можно улучшать и прокачивать + градация от необычного до легендарного + одежда,которую тоже можно качать). Но ещё: это тайна самого мира. Что случилось с человечеством тысячу лет назад? Откуда взялись эти робото-животные? Почему люди живут кланами, и кто такие предтечи, и что за странные технологии нынешние люди находят в развалинах? Какие тайны откроет визор, и что скрывает Сайленс? Удивительная игра. Это потрясающе, но она даже получше легендарной The last of us (хотя не думал, что когда-то изобретут что-то лучше). В этой игре столько всего можно придумать, сюжет потрясающий! Там минимум частей пять должно быть. Вся Земля перед разработчиками. Было бы круто глянуть на другие материки, что случилось с Европой, Африкой? Что такое Немезида, смогут ли Элой и её друзья одолеть это ? Полетит ли Сайленс в космос, и какая у него будет роль в будущем? Что будет с Геей, сможет ли она с помощью Гефеста улучшить нашу планету и жизнь людей? Какие ещё тайны скрывал Дальний Зенит и Предтечи? Фантастика. Просто голова кругом.

PSVR 2 is going to be an amazing way to jump into VR. And Horizon CotM is going to look much better in the headset. Flat screen trailers never do VR justice. Those robots are going to look HUGE in VR! One slight word of caution though. This game looks like it'll be a pretty intense experience, and some people who are new to VR have issues of motion sickness. You might want to ease yourself into VR by playing a less intense game first (one that doesn't have as much moving around). I really hope Sony has some software packed in with PSVR 2 to help ease in new VR players. Worst case, this game apparently comes with a river ride experience mode, which is likely a gentler way to get started. PSVR 2 does also have some features to reduce the chances of motion sickness too, so it might not be an issue. If it is something you experience though, the best advice is to stop playing immediately and take a break. Trying to push through it will make it worse. If you take a break, then switch to a less intense VR experience, you can acclimatize yourself to VR and eventually won't experience motion sickness anymore. It might not be a problem for you at all though. I think PSVR 2 is doing a lot of things to ensure people don't have this issue. Definitely not trying to scare you off, just wanna make sure your first VR experience is a positive one. VR is amazing, and I'm totally jealous you get to try it for the first time with PSVR 2!

That's a shame! You might want to try out PSVR 2, since it's got a feature to help reduce motion sickness (the haptic feedback in the headset). Is it just in VR that you get motion sickness, or is it something you experience in other situations? Not trying to pry, but VR motion sickness can be overcome with careful exposure. At very least, Horizon CotM includes a river ride experience that would probably be a bit easier to get into. Hopefully it's something you can experience firsthand, but motion sickness is awful, so it'd make sense if you didn't want to give it a shot.

I get motion sick as well. I was surprised it didn’t really affect me in VR. Definitely depends on the game. Hopefully the movement is solid in this game.

I get motion sickness really easy. I find, for me, that 1st person games make it less noticeable especially if they add the option to remove screen shake. I even get sick just standing on a boat dock. I had no problems playing Skyrim VR or the Half-Life Alex.
