When tuning to drop fsharp do you tune the bass to the same octave? Great Riff!

I’ve dabbled in both. First, I used to tune it an octave below. Then I tuned it the same octave. Now, it really depends on the song. This song has the bass an octave below because it’s not that technical. For more technical tracks, I’d consider tuning it to the same octave. I hope this helps.

How you like this guitar. Thinking of getting one for drop tunings lower than a worth the Investment?
@alexlucasmusic Жыл бұрын
This was a great guitar for someone like me who just wanted to try out lower tunings but not invest too much cash to experiment. After a couple years, I ended up switching to a Mayones baritone and selling this off. If you’re in the same boat as me, I highly recommend this guitar

i will also play the most time in drop f# but can this guitar would also handle c# standard or is that just to high?

You’d have no problems with that tuning, you’d just have to be selective about your string gauges. I imagine somewhere between a 11-52 and 11-56 would be best for that. The nice thing about extended scale lengths with “normal” tunings around Drop B and above would be the punch and clarity. I’m not getting along with this guitar in F#, but am loving it in A Standard

Can this do drop b tuning? I think it’s slightly up from standard baritone
@alexlucasmusic4 жыл бұрын
Do you mean the guitar or the pedal? Both sound great in Drop B or Standard B. The baritone will give you loads of clarity to what you play on it and the right attack/ brightness settings on the Precision Drive will get you far!

I meant the guitar? I think drop b is actually slightly tuned up from standard baritone tuning so wondered if it would be too tight for it?

Josh Atkins Ahh, I’m with you. It’ll handle Drop B just fine. I would say take the strings you would use for Drop B on a regular guitar and go one gauge lighter on a baritone. For example, I use a 72 for Drop A on a 25.5” scale, but I use a 74 for Drop F# on a 28” scale. Also, I use 60 for Drop C on a 25.5” scale.
