I like how the songs really have the lyrics refering to the route's core. Fate - Arcadia, pushing on while believing in a future. UBW - Horizon, pushing on while not believing in a future at all, rather in carving out a new path to a future. HF - Another Heaven, pushing on while believing all is futile and lost in the first place, defying fate.

I also really like how the songs themselves represent each route. Arcadia sounds like the most generic out of all of the songs; like its route. Horizon sounds a lot like Arcadia, but with a twist and a few subtle differences (not the lyrics). Finally, Another Heaven is much different from the other two and sounds much darker, especially at the beginning.

Shirou is very twisted character and you can even call him the embodiment of every hypocrisies of any superheroes. he is very different to a normal human being. Many normal humans also have this very optimistic dream. Normal humans have this dream but they have their own sense of justice. But shirou is very different. he has a ideal but he didn' have any sense of good or evil or any form of justice. he only try to save others for satisfying his need of pleasure or the feeling of alive. he didn' even know the true reason of his dream. He also said this in Unlimited Blade Works route. [I swore so as a child. To fulfill the dream of the man I admired most. …But to be honest, I'm still wondering… If my idea is the right one. Where my idea comes from. What I can do even despite me being just an amateur. How to make the dream of making everybody happy, which Kiritsugu always talked about, come true.] his every ideal is copied. he copied everything from Kiritsugu. Even his morality is also copied from his father. he mindlessly follow it and trying to save others without thinking because he just want to feel that smile again which is present in Kiritsugu's face. he even also want a enemy or some 'true evil' to defeat as a superhero to feel that feeling of pleasure. kirei also point out which shirou wanted to prove wrong. There are right and wrongs and those who didn't fear to this always lead a destruction. he want to become superhero to spread this shared nature and love of human toward each other into everywhere to form a ideal "human society" where everyone understand other's feelings and also think about the gain and loss of others as well as themselves without any prejudice and also create justice in this world. Shirou want to create a world filled with 'Swords'. swords represent Shirou's selflessness and his live for others. he want to create a ordered world where people also punishes those are bad or wrong in that situation. To destroy discimination, he want to first create a selfless world by eradicating prejudice and spreading the human nature. But it is still impossible to satisfy everyone. it still lead nowhere but it is able to create a better world. that's why he said ["I have created a thousand blades . Unaware of loss Nor aware of gain"] And [“Everything is here, and nothing is here. That is why this is called Unlimited Blade Works. This is the only definite answer obtained by the one who lived as a sword all his life.”] He will take every type of suffering and throw evrything for it to inspire other about this suffering. so people would also understand the suffering of others and started to create 'Heroes'. The thing is he considered living like this is beautiful. He considered enduring the suffering of others is very beautiful. In short he want to turn himself into a person who take every pain and suffering from others onto him and not giving those pain to others, to inspire others to be like him and lead a better world. he loves human so much that he loves taking pain, suffering and consequences of hypocrisies of every selfish human dreams from others to make them happy and to show human a better path for living as a 'real' human and also show that what human can do. So that no one would suffer from these selfish hypocisies. To teach other that pursue these selfish dreams by trying to eradicating these hypocrisies. He will not become a person like archer in which everyone force their mistakes to show their goodness but he will become a idol for others to inspire them to become like him and love others. He also accept hatred and sins of humanity and show the beauty of these ugliness and show how to use it improve humans as whole and use it to spread love and compassion towards each other even more. Out of curiosity, does anybody know why exactly Horizon and Arcadia were so similar, yet Another Heaven was so drastically different?

Because the Fate and Unlimited Blade Works routes are fairly similar in their structure and adherence to the Holy Grail War while Heaven's Feel goes off the rails fairly quickly straight into fucked upness.

mikas131 Yep, Fate and UBW are the two similar answers. 1.- Shirou believing in his ideals no matter what and chasing after his dream with (almost) no hesitation. 2.-Shirou facing reallity and due to that changing his way of thinking, being more realistic with his ideals, but still chasing the dream of becoming a hero and help evr'yone he can. HF is a whole diferent path in wich Shirou choices to be happy with the girl he loves, and due to that he forgets his goal of becoming a hero, leaving aside his ideals. My favorite is the Fate route, but HF and UBW are great storys and FSN works better as a whole.

I would like to add you can hear the subtle differences that also make references to the routes in the songs. Arcadia has a clean sound. You can perfectly hear and distinguish the instruments. It’s something you would be able to hear from a band. Showing the pure and innocent ideals of Shirou in the route. Horizon adds a more electronic vibe, with the instruments being distorted. You can hear this specially in the drums and voice of the singer. This reflects Shirou having to face the flaws in his ideals and seeing how they can change and distort him. Another Heaven changes completely the song, giving it a darker sound and emotion. This matches perfectly with what happens in the route and all the suffering and conflict Shirou has to face in forsaking his ideals. But also the song becomes more cheerful by the end, showing that Shirou is also happy with the result. Furthermore, each song has lyrics tailored to each route. It denotes a lot of dedication in the making of the game.

@@nawalpandey718 Thank you, you are one of the few people that it's able to put into words, why i really like Shirou and why UBW it's my favorite route, the other routes are also amazing, but UBW because of all the self-discovery really has a especial place in my heart.

It's amazing, and actually kinda sad, how much better the songs from the VN remake are in comparison to the songs we got on the anime. I only really like Last Stardust... the other songs are just so bland and generic.

Fate is made up of a combination of three parts. This song is appreciated for its relationship with the other two songs.

La verdad tampoco me agrada tanto esta apertura, hace que la ruta Fate y UBW no se diferencien demasiado por las intros haciendose repetitivo; mientras que Another Heaven si que hace impactante la ruta Heaven's Feel, por eso es mi ruta favorita ; )

Bueno, creo que en parte simboliza que Shirou es parecido en Fate y UBW, en ambos persigue su ideal hasta el final, solo que en el último acepta que no puede cumplirlo del todo. En HF, en cambio, tanto la historia como el propio Shirou cambian totalmente y por eso el op es tan distinto. Es mi punto de vista, al menos
