Hello: I have a somewhat complicated question possibly ......... I have a FIMI X8 SE 2020, for which I use a dedicated mobile phone for the control, exclusively to fly the drone. I am going to buy another FIMI X8 SE 2020 ....... Can I use this new drone, use the same mobile phone that I use in the FIMI that I already have?

Brilliant vid, do the arms have to be extended for this procedure? If they were tucked in it would be easier to get the drone super flat on all axis.

I don't believe it matters as long as it close to level on each axis . I can't say for certain.?

Contact support at [e-mail] asked them to unlock Drone Calibration and you will need to send just your fimi navi 2020 app ID # found on the page before you enter into the app . Page that shows the drone folded up .

I'm here again - did you reset everything to default settings in app before doing the 6 way calibration and being one of the lucky ones with the 5/2020 version my horizon has been level. Would you recommend the gimbal calibration after the drone calibration when the gimbal is already level. Never had to do gimbal cal at all since July 2020.

@@mishalchowdhury5610 it's hard to say really depends on what you want to do. Fimi handles the wind better and is a bit cheaper . Has a few more features than the mini and there no hassles where you can and can't take off from like with dji. Then the other hand the mini 2 has a better cam better fpv signal strength so if your in a urban area it will be better. Mini easier to transport and battery are cheaper. I can't recommend 1 over the other but my personal choice be the fimi even with the few issues as mini 2 has some to.

Do you need to recalibrate the drone now if it has been calibrated before? Is it a new update? Cheers

This needs to be done even if you just took it out of the box. If you notice it's toilet bowling or the gimbals off then do it. Chances are it will need to be done ive had 14 of them and they all have needed it .

You have to email fimi at [e-mail] ans send them your Navi 2020 app ID number and ask to have Drone Calibration unlocked. Normally in 24 to 48 minus weekend and holliday's you should see it pop up in the app.

Can't do that calibration when it's not available in the app. Asking Fimi to unlock the app is nonsense! It should be there if it is important to drone calibration. I had two older Fimi X8 SE 2020, May and June build that had a bad tilted horizon issue. I recently purchased a new Fimi X8 SE 2020 with an August build. The new Fimi has no horizon tilt right out of the box. One thing I noticed with my two previous Fimi's was that the front of the camera wasn't parallel to the front of the drone frame. Just by sight using the advanced gimbal calibrations I moved the Y-axis to have the camera face parallel to the drone face. Then I did the remaining advanced gimbal calibrations on a target across the room. That minimized the tilted horizon issue with the older Fimi's. It is interesting that my new Fimi S8 SE 2020 had the camera face parallel to drone face right out of the box. The newest Fimi had no horizon tilt without doing any gimbal calibrations. Even still, I did do the advanced gimbal calibrations to the newest Fimi. Horizon tilt is nowhere to be seen. Whether it is that the newest drone build fixed the tilt issue, or that Fimi is doing a better setup before shipping the X8 SE 2020 drone is not known.

I'm not positive why they didn't add the Calibration in a firmware update. No rhyme or reason for what fimi does at times
