Best investment we made , now I just go flat out because we have the tugboat. Worth every penny but it's fun rescuing boats to. Great tips mate .

I love my tug!!! It spends every trip to the pond hangin at the beach ready to work! Also entertains the kids cuz they cant really hurt it! Saved a fancy homebuilt rig last weekend that couldnt bring back in a tfl pursuit 🤣

Love the rope retainer till it goes overboard and gets in the proo. Burnt up my esc thatway so insure its secure when not in use. Lesson learned. Wirth every dime.

I've built several rescue boats over the years and I must say the HH Tug does a great job and looks cool doing it. Adding the FPV video makes those long-distance rescues a snap. For a rescue boat to work well, it has to be convenient, reliable, and powerful enough to do the job. So far, the HHT has demonstrated all those qualities. The narrow aperture of the "catcher" on the HHT eliminates the steering issues I experience with my rescue boat when the victim boat is crooked in the catcher. This narrow aperture also makes the FPV a must-have upgrade for bigger boats and longer distances. I'm still playing with the idea of pulling a victim in with a towed catcher rather than pushing it in for a number of reasons. Should I ever take that idea and make a real-life thing out of it, the HHT would make a great ...er... Tug for that towed catcher.

Great video, lots of good ideas 👍 What’s your formula for the backing soda and ca, 50/50 ? Will it make a good lightweight filler? And Ummm… how fast will it go 😂🤣😂🤣
@IRONCLADRC2 жыл бұрын
I apply the CA to the area that's being glued then I sprinkle the baking ps right on top of the CA & repeat! The baking soda strengthens & speeds up the cure process.. NOTE, YOU CAN NOT PRE MIX THE TWO TOGETHER. CA, THEN SPRINKLE, THEN CA, & SPRINKLE SOME MORE. HOPEFULLY THAT MAKES SENSE. (VOICE TEXTING SUCKS LOL)

@@IRONCLADRC I get it, good to know. I live very near the one and only hobby shop in the Richmond va area, Hobby Town, and if it’s not about rc drag cars or rock crawling rigs they don’t have much info to share. They do sell boats but they look at them kinda funny and ask “where do the wheels go? “ 🤣😂🤣 Thanks
@rolandvaillancourt72322 жыл бұрын
I don't know if anyone has noticed but if you remove the wheel house there is a channel molded into the plastic that runs down to a slot with two holes for wires to run the channel runs to the top of the week house roof

Great video on this boat. For waterproofing the deck should I get both thin and medium CA? I haven't used either and it looks like Zap has both brush on and squeeze bottles? What would be your recommendation? Thanks

@IRONCLADRC, I just came across this video and am wondering how adding weight to the back turned out. I have the same issue pushing gas boats. The prop comes out of the water and it quits pushing. What did you end up doing? How much weight and where? Did it work? I didn't find any later videos the said the result.
@IRONCLADRC11 ай бұрын
It helped quite a bit actually, I moved my battery back along with the additional weight. Keeps the prop in the water
@allenarceneaux11 ай бұрын
@@IRONCLADRC Do you have any guess as to how much lead you added? Other tug (not horizon) videos talk about ballast but getting too much and swamping the back.

I believe I put a 6oz egg sinker in the middle and 2x 8oz bank sinkers on the sides. 22oz total I think 🤔
