I recently learned that the Banuk bows are not absolute upgrades from the Shadow ones. Obviously, Banuk bows deal huge damage upon full charge, but they're not as effective for spamming shots compared to Shadow bows because of their lower fire rate and lower damage with undercharged shots. Shadow bows, on the other hand, deals the same damage regardless of the draw charge. The charge on Shadow bows is purely for accuracy.

False. All my Banuk bows at max states can shoot like bullets. The only bow that would need to charge up is the power bow, but the Banuk hunter bow can shoot faster than any other bow, once its states is maxed out.

This dlc is great, mostly done everything in the dlc, the only trophy I need is the repair 5 different riding machines then I'm Done with the dlc, the dlc is great and totally worth 20 dollars if your not a psn plus member, the only thing I have an issue with the dlc is i was hoping the weapons and armor would look cooler but other than that I give this dlc 9/10 :)

I never hip-shot anyways so this bow was a must-have for me *SPOILERS* . . . . . Really helped with TFW. It also helped me beat my record on finishing The Looming Shadow, First time around (normal mode), it took me 2 hours and about 30 deaths. With the Banuk Striker Bow (hard mode), it took me 2 minutes to kill Helis and 3 to kill the Deathbringer.

DO not play NG+ Ultra hard without at least farming 100k shards. And make sre you packed all your mods in purple. Even better if it is Uber Purple, those with the highest or 2nd highest stats at least. You will be pissing arrows and traps in Ultra Hard as melee is almost useless against multiple/large enemies. So you need alot of money for Weapons and armour, and you need to farm for alot for parts to make ammo.

So I recently got the Banuk powershot bow. After applying the modification. Those high penetration arrows do 960 damage each, like holy crap that thing is OP. Especially with the skill that let's you shoot 3 at a time. I took down a stormbird with 2 shots.

I kill Grazers then use the harvest arrow to knock off all the blaze while they are dead. You get 6 glaze for every 1 glaze canister you knock off. ( the first hunting grounds is a good spot to stock up )

Yeah dude, what you're saying In the video is totally wrong. I tested the bows in game and you only get that damage increase with the bow fully drawn. The bows do less damage than the shadow bows when not fully drawn. To use these bows and have a good through put then you have two options. One: go all handling (160% ish) this will make your shots only about 33% slower but still give slightly increased damage. (20%ish increase) Two: 110%sh handling and one of the new really good damage mods. Your shots will be about 50% slower but you do about 80%ish increase in damage. Hope this helps someone

ikr, even with huge distance advantage, the Scorcher can still easily charge to you and kill you. I found that hitting other part on fire claw doesn't deal much damage , you can only hit his weakspot- stomach and upper hand-limb. Probably the best way is still rope him down 1st.

I'm on ultra hard and it's crazy. I always do sneaky stuff if I can. Like that chieftan challenge when you face 3 frostclaws, I just hid in this hole space inside of some Rock in the center and blasted them with blast bombs while playing peek-a-boo. They couldn't touch me. I found it funny.

I can't get any hearts for the Adept bows in NG+ Ultra Hard. I have plenty gleem, killed enough to get at least 1 heart. Fought multiple bears at once on a few occasions and killed many Scorchers. How is the harvest arrow used? Do you hit them with one before the kill? I have all the ability upgrades and level 57. I'm about to do the last part of the game and have been farming for hearts... and haven't any success...

I just got my scorcher heart on New Game + Ultra Hard that I needed to purchase the powershot bow. It literally took me probably 10+ Scorcher kills for them to finally drop a heart. It's possible but just takes so much time on UH it's annoying.

Not sure about new game + but I believe the price is tied to difficulty level only. I am on Ultra hard now (on New Game +) and the new weapons and the new outfits cost shards (about 6000 shards for weapons, 12000 shards for outfits) in addition to bluegleam. On normal (my first play through) the new weapons and outfits only cost bluegleam.

I recommended Damage/Tear/fire (followed the sequence) Mods on your Hunter bow. They were necessary all. Ice/Spark/Corruption on your war bow. Your can average ability of mods or max on the most element you need. For me I chose Ice element. Increase high%Tear mods on Sharpshot bow. Max damage mod on Sling bomb and Trap.
