Just in case anybody was wondering, you do NOT need to go to this place at first to start the quest, you just need to obtain a power cell to trigger the quest. I went to the ruins where you get your Focus as kid, and when I picked up a power cell it started the quest. The quest also makes the armory on your map so you don't have to searching for it.

***UPDATE*** 2:28 This is the wrong part of the Grave-Hoard. Once you’ve solved the three lock puzzles later on to get the ancient bunker doors open, go through the doors and continue straight ahead, opening another set of bunker doors on the left of the corridor. The main ‘Grave-Hoard’ quest will have you run straight past it, so all you have to do is look down and the power cell will be at your feet, beside a supply crate and some mushrooms.

For those who didnt understand where the power cell in Grave Hoard is, After activating the 3 power locks inside the Grave Hoard, the door will be opened. When you open the door, the power cell should be in the ground beside a supply crate with some mushrooms on the side.

If anyone is trying to get back into mothers cradle, there’s a video explaining how to get up the mountain using a strider. I couldn’t get the 3rd because the cave was frozen shut so I went to the area on top with the large debris going through and there’s a tiny spot you can fit in. Go in, look down, keep rolling and you will eventually fall through into the area bellow.

For those of you confused on how to get to all these places, you have to complete almost all the main story line quests in order to get to GAIA Prime which is one of the places mentioned in this video. The second to last main storyline quest is level 28.

The minimal requirement for the second to last main quest is level 25. You can rush the main quest, and be level 25 by that time.

I was going to have the same issue , but apparently my game glitched. During the dialogue when I was being told that the gate is closed I kept running. Oddly enough the gate was still blown open. I ran in and grabbed the poer cell, but upon trying to leave I found myself locked in. Had to fast travel to leave.

I like that Aloy wears this outfit in Forbidden West. Given that this is part of a side quest and therefore canonical, it makes sense Aloy would have started wearing it as her main outfit, but then to justify the player being taken back to square one in Forbidden West, Aloy runs into trouble on the road in between games, losing most of her stuff, including apparently the power source for the Shield Weaver outfit, leaving it without its shielding capabilities. I can’t really imagine any other way to explain how Aloy has noob gear at the start of a new game in the same series, given where the last game leaves off.

FYI: the 3rd power cell in graves hoard is NOT just sitting in the snow in the first room. you have to go through the ENTIRE dungeon to find it. this guide is almost no help at all in that regard. and the 4th power cell, is actually findable in the mission BEFORE the 3rd one. ....which the guide doesn't tell you, because they are pure evil......now to go all the way back to that stupid skyscraper to get the power cell i missed. since i thought it would be after grave hoard

Here's the way you can get the second power cell in the mountain without completing the final mission. First, get in the remnant you fell in the prologue. When you get in, use the fast travel to the campfire nearest the mountain, and you will see the way to the mountain is opened

Thats the side of the mountain you need to climb. look along the mountain next to gate, keep going round. and you will see a slope UP the mountain. YOU Need a Horse!!!!! to make the climb up that slope. Top of the slope is ridges n Smooth rock faces, JUMP and wriggle horse up these. You need to follow around the village on the Mountain. You may have to dump Dobbin up there and proceed on foot. (DONT fall in to the village untill you get just above the entrance doorway to the Tomb/temple/ etc etc ) ( or you get stuck in the graphics, as its not loaded the activity in the village, so you can get Jammed at bottom of the mountain.) Get above the wood to the entrance, and jump on top of the wood to the entrance frame work. Now drop between the Wood of the frame and the mountain, so you land in the entrance. Bang! your in. Get the Dooffa thing ( Power Cell) then fast travel out. (Call your horse, to get it, off the mountain! you can't leave the poor thing there. its not very nice!) I just did this, so it works.

Its too bad though that the customization in this game is limited in appearance (they all are the skirt like armor with no helmets) this armor looked cool on the rack but looks nothing like it on the character

I see loads of miss understandings about the power cell in All-Mother's Mountain. But, if you end the game (Story line). There shouldn't be a door that's closing the mountain off. So you need to END the story line first to get the power cell if you've missed your first opportunity. (Story line is 20 hours)

Incorrect, you can go back during the night and the door will be open. You may need to run away from the door if you fast traveled in and then re-fast travel in to force a reload to acknowledge that it is night.

As much as I love the light weaver armor I would much rather have worn the full suit rather than prying off the shield generators and strapping them to a leather outfit like some primitive

When I first tried the second combination, I thought of the conventional angle positions of a circle: originating from the right and increasing counter-clockwise. For this set of locks, zero degrees is at the top and the angle increases clockwise.

All you need are the stealth outfits, with the best stealth upgrades you can find. I've been playing Very Hard since the beginning, I'm level 42 right now (haven't completed main quests yet) and I have only used stealth outfits.

Very Hard honestly isn't hard enough. The OP armor trivializes the game even further. The game is only hard if you refuse to hit weakpoints, don't hit anything, think you're going to beat everything with a stick, and/or don't scavenge your kills at all. If you do all of the above, Very Hard is easy.

I'm enjoying actually fighting the enemies so I'm not sure I'd want to equip this armor. Being invulnerable is lame. I will collect it, sure, try it probably, but shove it in the closet. There's no point in playing if you're invincible.

It's overpowered on Very Hard too. I just beat it. It can take a good three hits before you have to move from a heavy machines.

It works basically same as shields in other games. Like in Bioshock Infinite for example. So, yes it helps with saving health but once the shield breaks you die fast.

playing this years later on PC. the GAIA Prime cell can be gotten well before its shown in this video . You already get to its location at the start of the mission. Where that zipline you're told to not use lands you is ledges to climb right up to the power cell room and you get there when you repel off the higher platform at the start

can you access it without the mission? I was up there already to get the vantage point, but got spooked by a stormbird and had to leave as i was not prepared for the battle. if i could get the cell before the mission, ill just take out the bird get it and then get on with the main story.

Btw, if you missed the powercell in all mother's mountain. Look up "TheNamesFeeely" video as to the workaround to get back in. A strider is needed and a travel pack is needed. Works as of August 16th, 2020.

NappaTheProducer , it doesn't remove any challenge, try to get it and you will see, you have to almost finish the main quest to get it, this is what they don't tell you, certain places you can't go or won't open up until you get to that mission.

In the Frozen Wilds expansion, the armor is slightly nerfed. Hephaestus’ control towers release electric pulses that can short out the suit’s force field. And the electric weapon after getting that Oseram girl to upgrade it, if you don’t let it cool off between shots, it’ll backfire hard enough to take the field out completely. Nasty surprise when fighting fireclaws that require heavy, repeated damage in a short amount of time.

For anyone who is trying to get this early in the game, it is possible. But know that 2 of the 5 power cells (at Mothers Embrace and Gaia Prime) are gonna be your toughest ones since the gate closes in Mothers Embrace and there is a ladder missing to climb up Gaia Prime. And then I found it in my inventory and literally said "seriously? That's it? That's what it looks like? You've got to be kidding..." You Fast T to Mothers Watch where Mountain is. Face the gate and Look to the right side of the gate. Thats the side of the mountain you need to climb. look along the mountain next to gate, keep going round. and you will see a slope UP the mountain. YOU Need a Horse!!!!! to make the climb up that slope. Top of the slope is ridges n Smooth rock faces, JUMP and wriggle horse up these. You need to follow around the village on the Mountain. You may have to dump Dobbin up there and proceed on foot. (DONT fall in to the village untill you get just above the entrance doorway to the Tomb/temple/ etc etc ) ( or you get stuck in the graphics, as its not loaded the activity in the village, so you can get Jammed at bottom of the mountain.) Get above the wood to the entrance, and jump on top of the wood to the entrance frame work. Now drop between the Wood of the frame and the mountain, so you land in the entrance. Bang! your in. Get the Dooffa thing ( Power Cell) then fast travel out. (Call your horse, to get it, off the mountain! you can't leave the poor thing there. its not very nice!) I just did this, so it works.

Some guides on how to glitch the power cell at mothers watch with a mount or something, i did however go further in the quest chain to the point of just missing 1 now, but i was considering the glitch to get past mothers watch with the mount glitch to just get the power cell now but i am to far in the story line now, and i really wanted to go exploring and collecting the rest of the collectibles i am missing but i will have to go a bit further in the story quests for that to happen.

If anyone is having trouble to go to all mother I can tell you how to get there, you need to get a fast travel pack from a merchant in the resources Spot it is the first item that you can buy, but if you have 10 fatty meat, Fox skin, metal shards, and some ridge wood you can get the gold fast travel pack that gives you unlimited fast travel packs, with a fast travel pack you can teleport to campfires by pressing R2 and the blue x to teleport to the campfire, and if you finished the proving quest you will be sent to all mother to get the power cell, but plz use the fast travel packs, to teleport to the places to collect the power cells, I got the armour if anyone thinks the armour is a hack but it’s not, and if you get the first power cell in the ruins when you have been when Aloy was a child and had to find a way out there will be a new quest that is called ancient armour, and also you will have a blue line on your health bar, and that is another health bar that you can waste when you have got hurt dozens of times but you Aloy didn’t get a single scratch, the blue bar on your health will turn to red, that means your armour needs recharging, it only takes 3 seconds to recharge, and if you have collected your armour you will have a shield weaver outfit box (the name of the armour) and you need to go to your inventory, to the mystery boxes and if you go to it and you think your armour is gone, no need to panic just press R2 and at the last mystery box, there will be a purple mystery box and it will be called shield weaver armour, and inside the box there will be an outfit inside called the shield weaver outfit press the blue x on your joystick and it will be added to your outfit satchel, put on the shield weaver outfit, and hey presto! Your outfit is on! Now you can kill a thunder jaw! And as a thing when you have the armour on and your opponent has only one life left you hit it with your spear and it will fly across the whole rink to the other side! Also happens to a thunder jaw! Two years late, if you fast travel to the campfire in All-mother mountain, you have to leave camp and cross the bridge, go back into camp and the door should be open.
