1. Aloy is invincible while dodging. The invincibility frame begins when she leaps into air and ends when she touches the ground. You can use this invincibility effect to evade wide area attack that should have been impossible to avoid. 2. Unless you're using the bows from Frozen Wild DLC, charging your draw will NOT increase arrow damage or elemental accumulation. 3. Don't bother shooting your fire arrows on a burning enemy; it will NOT extend the burn duration nor will it increase the burn damage. 4. Rockbreaker is best handled by using a stealth-focused armor, as this will reduce the noise you make. Freeze the main body first then use your strongest weapon to hit the exhaust vent on their back (it is possible to one shot them with a fully modded Ice Cannon or Triple-Precision Arrow from Adept PowerShot Bow). 5. Shooting human enemy on their helmet will only alert them. Shoot them from behind, or try to land as many arrows as possible on their unprotected chest.

@@samuel6438 Their helmet, or should I say mask, can reduce the damage of your arrow. If you can't get a clear shot on the back of their head, aim at their torso instead but draw two or three arrows.

A small tip everyone, while using the banuk weapons, don't shoot right away. Wait for the cross-hair (that aims where the arrow will go) to have a set of small lines coming out of it. If you keep aiming and wait for this to happen, the damage gets increased by 1.5x, very useful in many situations. Works only with banuk weapons. You'll hear a small "ting" when you achieve this damage multiplier while aiming

Fun tip: Override mount+ is even better than it seems, because when you're later on in the game and the small machines like watchers are just annoying disruptors you can have your mount take care of them for you :D while you fight the bigger machines

Also, with tinker, you can put all ice boosts on a weapon with 3 elemental types when facing enemies weak to ice, then freely switch them out for fire or damage when facing other enemies. Totally beats trying to balance all the ammo types at once.

Now this is just a quick list, if I had more time to think it might change a bit. This is also just PS4 because if we were talking about all platforms Zelda would make it in a few. Honestly it's way too hard to pick only 5 games. I didn't get to mention Far Cry 4, which is a great game also. Like I said too many great ones.

@@coenh8735 I hope you have a lot of time on your hands because once you start Story mode you will playing until the morning birds start singing. The first hour is slow but once you get to chapter 2 the whole world opens up, so don't give up in the beginning thinking it's linier. It changes quick to an excellent open world game. Had it since day one and I'm actually playing it right now.

treasure boxes can be used as basically infinite inventory space, albeit disorganized. only take the items you need and save the rest for later

Yes but treasure boxes just practically give you 75% rocks all the time. And I don't need rocks cause I have that skill to whistle. So, It really is a headchae to get rid of. But I'm talking and the normal treasure boxes. The ones you get after completing hard missions and such are really good.

Tips for replay after several years later Keep items with glass in title you can use them at treasure box vendor which replaced the junk vendor from earlier versions of the game. Stranded items now have a reward box too. Rat skin for frozen wild weapon ammo upgrade return to the ruin alloy fell into as a child each time you visit at least 3 rats will spawn inside the entrance. Don't buy chieften outfit from vendor remember it is free in main quest after challenging the frozen wild chieften. Remember you can rearrange weapon and outfits order in inventory by dropping and repicking up the gear. All purple gear gain extra mod slot in new game plus so do not sell very rare outfit , lodge or shadow weapons.

There's a merchant in Meridian who sells machine parts. Almost any machine part needed for a Shadow weapon is in this guy's inventory, in case you need to buy something and don't want to go harvest the part.

The best tip is to get the future armor. Its easily the best with nothing close in comparison. You can get it as early as level 7 using some exploits in the game. I myself wait till level 20 at least as it makes the enemys you run by easy to deal with. There is a way into all the locked areas where the power cells are contained and getting them all only takes roughly 1 hour if its all that you are focused on. Also for the complete edition players should immediatly go into the frozen wilds. This is because all of the best weapons in the games are here. The Banuk bows and the Elemental weapons are better then anything you can receive in the game. The Banuk powershot for example combined with triple shot lets you two cycle things like Bellowbacks. All in all getting the Banuk weapons and getting them upgraded along with getting the future armor is by far the best advice to give. It will make it essentially like having cheat codes as even the hardest enemies become like fighting a watcher unless its the super enemies like the Stormbird or Rambo Chicken

Getting that Ray shield armour is KEY. Do it throughout the game to avoid back tracking.

I missed out on Zero Dawn when it first came out for some reason or another. Looking at the fact it came out in 2017 would mean that it came out the same year Fortnite did. Because of being a father and my son being addicted to Fortnite for several years, Fortnite pretty much took up 90% of all of my gaming time from 2017 to about 2022. Because of that, I never got to check out Zero Dawn. I very much showed up late to the party but at least I'm finally here! I was going to buy Forbidden West but after seeing how good this game was rated, I decided to purchase ZD and want to beat this game first before even purchasing Forbidden West. So that's exactly what I'm doing! So far I've dumped about 15 hours into the game and I'm level 10 so far. I've been enjoying it quite a bit!

On its own the Rattler is decent. Use a fully upgraded impact one on a frozen enemy and it can fell even the toughest enemies rather quickly I've done this against Deathbringer, Thunderjaws, and even Rockbreakers and it'd honestly at times a stupidly tough combo. Until you go against Fire or Frostclaws which then it's just a case of good effing luck

Get the double or triple shot skill it can deal a lot of damage in very little time Also get the hunter reflexes skill you could use that when you concentration meter in low and go to the frozen wilds (do the tall neck first) then go to the top of the map when your there finish the puzzles then get the piece from the plane (not usable) that is a side quest and when finished you can upgrade your spear wth modifications (use spear damage not shock)

Get High stealth and visit Frozen North early . Buy map for the Blue crystals(Money) location and buy the hunter bow their that is twice as powerful as the Shadow Bow. You need Stealth because every machine in the North will kill you instantly at this stage of the game . Once have the super bow, fast travel back to original story with a hunter bow that has much more ,handling ,damage and tear than the shadow War Bow. This was playing on Hard .

For the longest time I never wanted to fast travel so it was kinda nice, by the time I actually started using fast travel I had so many packs that it was basically unlimited lol. Eventually I did buy the golden pack just because I had so many resources it didn't matter haha

Just about every character that Aloy has a cut scene with seems so familiar, as if their face and facial expressions were based on actors I'd seen in movies but I can't place a single one of them. I can't come up with the names of any actors they remind me of and I have no explanation for this phenomenon. Ironically Aloy is the only character that doesn't seem familiar and at the same time she's also the only character that I can easily come up with a name that she reminds me of. The first time I saw her she I immediately thought of Ygritte the red haired wildling. You can google almost any mystery about any video game and odds are someone has either posted on reddit about it or made a youtube video but try as I may I can't find anything about HZD face models. This is driving me crazy. When is someone going to make that video?

I'm on my first playthrough of this game and freaking love it so much. I'm 80 hours in but still have a lot to do. I imagine it's going to take me well over 100 hours to complete, and probably way more than that if I go for 100%, which I might. I'm on PC so can't play Forbidden West, but I really hope Sony plan on releasing it for PC soon because from what I've seen it's a major improvement over New Dawn with free climbing and overall improved gameplay. Not only is New Dawn one of the best single player games I've ever played in terms of combat and general gameplay, but it also has an amazing story and plot and exploring the world is so much fun. I normally don't play games twice because for some reason once I've experienced something I rarely have a need to experience it again-but I may play this one again on New Game+.

I bought the complete edition lile a year ago for $20 and i have the platinum for the game it is incredible and since it complete i am reinstalling this masterpiece since i don't think i have to update it and plan to play it some more in the future but i have a few other games i want to play too i am very grateful for this game and yeah id recommend it to every ps4/ps5 owner out there

If you need to craft arrows mid-fight, don't use the weapon wheel. Go to your inventory which pauses the game instead.

That's what I want to do, it never existed when I played it. Do you know if the standard edition of the game carrys over to complete edition? If I can remember it only unlocks Ultra Hard difficulty on a second playthrough.

You can collect all power cells as soon as you're able to leave the embrace. Which means best outfit/armor in the game and being level 10 or lower 😂 (you need to glitch into some locations, just Google it)

Not sure if you mentioned it....but a thing I learned is that sometimes you can shoot it’s parts off w/Terablast arrows and use parts as big shooting weapons😩😩😩🔥

idk why but this is one of the many open world games that I played that I always don't use fast travel. I just love walking around in it because for me it's the most beautiful open world game on the ps4
