Advice from someone who wrapped this up in 5 minutes. Don't waste your time with fire arrows. First, take out the snipers quietly, sneaking around the pit anticlockwise and taking them out one by one. Then aim at the humans in the pit, it's ok then to be detected as long as you maintain cover. After you finish off the humans, shoot tearblast arrows at the corruptor's offensive components mounted on top, three each should dislodge them. Use focus to highlight and then concentrate to land the hits. Don't release the arrows at less than full draw because that's how they shoot straight line a bullet...

Afterwards, when the grenade launchers and guns are dislocated, shoot precision arrows at the red eye. It does twenty times more damage than the fire arrows. After dropping the components, the corruptor's move around and then stop still looking at you, that's your window. Shoot one arrow each time aiming slowly in the eye without worrying about being blown to pieces. It will take 5 or 6 to kill it.

Definitely feel like they gave these corruptors way more health than standard. Realised by fluke that luring them under the logs and making them fall by shooting the wooden contraption holding them, will kill them instantly. Seems a bit cheap to force you to improvise like that, but hey - just in case anyone else is/was struggling with this part. Hope that helps.

I finished this on level 9 with only fire and normal arrows, nothing else. If you turn left once you spawn in you can climb up the mountain to a platform where one eclipse member is standing. Take him out silently, then follow the trail across the walls of the dig site until all are gone. Then for the corrupters, use the big pile of logs scattered across the dig site to crush them. You’ll notice that they are held together by blue ropes, and under it is a target. Shoot the target at the right time to decrease quite an amount of the corrupters health, and even eclipse if you’re good enough. Other than that, use fire arrows on the grenade launcher or other thing (forgot what it’s called, spike launcher maybe?) until the corrupters light on fire. Then shoot the two compartments of the back for critical damage. If they still aren’t dead, run and avoid their hits and keep shooting them until they enter overheat mode, which is symbolised by the little thermometer 🌡 on top of them. When in this mode, a small canister will be visible to you which I think was on the back. Take this out with whatever arrows you have. I recommend having the skill that slows time when you aim and jump, or aim and slide. This allows for more precise shots and gives you extra time to analyse the situation. Always have your enemies tagged. You can do this by opening your focus and tagging them from there. Also, using your focus, you can hover over certain body parts of the machine to see what each part is vulnerable to. Another tip, might be cheating, but when you spawn if you look to the right there are some spots on the dig site walls where there are platforms with boulders to cover from attacks. This is a good spot to shoot the corruptors then hide after you kill the eclipse. Best way to get here is using the path I talked about in the first paragraph. These spots are hard for the corrupters to get up, so they will stay on the ground and shoot unaccurate shots at you. Good luck.

I know people have difficulties in this misson, I did it easily, first you should kill the cultist in your right, but you must climb to the place where he his, after, with the "sniper" kill the others, when everybody is dead, stay in the "heights" and shoot the corruptors, you just need to avoid the "corruption rockets" and have a lot of potions and healing to not die, and the thing is, DONT go down!

You can't just "Shoot" the corruptors.. this is a level 12 mission and they're level 18.. So what do you expect peoples level to be? 12.. If you manage to somehow kill them with just arrows on level 12, you're on easy mode.

The game makes it perfecly clear from the start to not treat level requirement as advice, but rather a minimum of "youd be crazy to try it on this level on your first play". The level is 16-20. I'm 21 on normal and expect lots of trouble.

The only problem I have with the game so far (I'm at this part) is that the machines are such bullet (or should I say, arrow) sponges, you fight them too often and unless you have 200 fire arrows you either have to shoot them over and over from a hiding spot or try to Melee one like in the video, which is way too risky to me.

To kill the corruptors spam them with fire arrows until the red thermometer fills up completely. At that point they will expose their power core, to shoot with precision arrows to do a huge amount of damage.

It took me 30 min to finally get all the snipers around the edges or the ring. By the time I was on the corrupters for some reason there was only one. It made it easier for me, I think if you wait long enough the corrupters will kill each other. Love this game!

This quest was challenging to the core ... but cleared it a day after failing severally. The thing with such games it's not so much the difficulty of the game design but rather knowing what to do & how ... In this case, I figured that you need to take the snipers out first. Also, remain at the highest points of the site, NEVER descend! Secondly, take out all the hostiles in the pit. Lastly, take out the machines as you target their weak points. Do the last 2 steps stealthily as you circle the excavation pit from the top.

I took out the two corruptors first while keeping a distance and then killed the people. It was actually really easy like that, but I suggest keeping a safe distance and using your trip caster to keep a barrier between you and the enemies.

I did this completely differently to most folk, which is one of the things I love most about this game. Before the action starts I set 3 or 4 wire traps on the slope up to my position then take the snipers and the cultists out. Then after firing a few tear blast arrows the corrupters run up to your position where they get caught in the traps where you can reduce their health significantly with the sharp shot arrows.

I don't know why everyone is saying this quest made them quit the game! it was one of the easiest quests so far. all you have to do is sneak counter-clockwise around the edges of the cliff and kill all the eclipse as you go. then stay up on the cliff near something you can hide behind, and snipe the rest of the humans from up there. I have the skill where I can fire three arrows at once, and I killed each person with one hit. after that, just snipe the corrupters while still hiding. they didn't see me a single time so didn't fire anything at me. I was really worried about this quest after reading the comments but finished it all on the first try in less than 10 minutes.

guys, before the mission change your difficulty to story, once you enter. there is a log pile if you break it it will kill the corrupters instantly, stay on the ledges and kill the cultists quietly, if you stay on the ledges the final corrupter can’t get you so just kill it from there

i played this section a bunch of times and died so i stopped playing the game for months; but i was bored so i decided to watch a horizon zd walkthrough and a saw this guy shooting hardpoint arrows at the machines’s sensitive places (which you can detect through ur focus) so i did the same thing and one of the machines died under the wood logs stuff (i forgot what theyre called sorry) and for the other i did the same thing the walkthrough guy did, using hardpoint arrows on the machines sensitive places at high ground while also shooting at the enemies below with the same type of arrows and finished the machine under 5-10 minutes. Dont forget about the sniper enemy shooter, and use ur focus to make sure you got everybody. Also use ur zoom while aiming to get a better shot at the machine’s sensitive spots.

HOLYFUCK. This took me two days, and dying like a 100 times. The best to do it is to walk anti-clockwise, kill all the guys on the scaffolds, stay in the third scaffold, kill the guys that are below, then shoot fire arrows at the machines. When they overheat they stop moving so you can keep shooting at them until they collapse.

what I did was killed the cultists first and let Olin fight the corrupters for a while to get them a bit lower health and then started sniping them then when the corrupter came up to the ledge that I was shooting off of (where it exits the cut scene) I jumped up onto the left side to get to the area to tight rope up to that little island thingy (he show's it at 4:20 and then kept shooting them since they couldn't get to me until both of the corrupters where dead and then talked to Olin, it took like 20-50 minutes

I did it in like 30 minutes. Kill the humans first then the corruptors. I WAS level 25 but it didn’t really matter as I went all in in skills for resources and tinkering. I did have a shadow bow but it’s the same thing as it only took a little less time killing the corruptors. WHAT REALLY helped was the freezing sling.

Use the sharp shot bow or hunter bow to headshot humans from the wooden sniper tower on the right of your spawn. If they see you crouch to the back until they stop shooting. Repeat until all the humans are dead then use the hunter bow with normal arrows to focus on one corruptor and shoot the barrels on the side of its head until the come off. Once they’re both off spam the body with fire arrows until it dies then do the same to the other one. Easy.

I noticed one of them killed itself on a wooden beacon after my 4th try, and was hoping there was a quick kill method. guess not.

I managed to do this. All u gotta do is be patient. Take as much time as u can. Kill the snipers first and start killing the humans and then the corrupters. Throw a rock at the container or whatever that is so one of the corrupters instantly dies as he walks on it and blows up. Deal with the other corrupter stealthily and finish him up with a spear. It took me 30 minutes and that's exactly why I won. I tried to take as much time as possible so I can analyze my next move.

i set up fire wires and threw rocks to lure the corrupters out. After that i killed the humans. was a slow process but it worked.

Took me ages to complete this part, but I found using the tripcasters (like in the video) to stun the Corruptors and then shooting at them from near the entrance to the pit the best way to take them down.

Found this easy, took out all humans first then crossed over to the far side and stayed high behind some rocks, the corrupters just stood looking for me and I hit them with arrows right in the red eye, took about 15 to put each down. Simple.

I eventually got so sick of this part that I just changed the difficulty from easy to story and I could easily beat it as you take practically no damage

I win the level after almost 30 minits, here's what I do, first getting the medicine and while you search for it you might passed through a box, there have a health potions, then I killed all the guards first, and when l want to attack the corruptor, I just simply hide behind a huge rock and when the arro hit the corruptor, I just hide, that way, it won't know where am I and can't attack me, just do it until it dies

Are you playing on Easy or Story mode? Even on Normal is hard, the Corruptors jump over you as soon as you are discovered

What I did: killed all the guards at the rock ledges, then I picked one by one in the quarry. Then I shoot the corruptor from the above. Dunno why the other died, it just got slammed by some wooden beams.

Quick tip: take out the snipers then from a sniper spot shoot the killers and then shoot the corruptors that's how I did it in 7 min

The lumber stacks deals more damage than your normal/fire arrow, lure a machine next to one and shoot down the lumber logs, it’s an instant kill.

This is insane, even in normal difficulty, these things literally don't get ANY damage with arrows AT ALL, you have to ether shoot like 1000 of them, or get down there and hit them with the stick. Fuck it, do your self a favor and change difficulty to 'Story' mode and you'll be done in 2 minutes
