Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered on RTX 4060 - 1080p & 1440p Optimized Settings!

The DLSS upscaler doesn’t give a significant performance boost with ultra graphics settings, so I created optimized settings that balance quality and performance while maintaining a stable 60+ frames. It's just like HFW in terms of graphical fidelity and VRAM usage. At 1080p use High Textures instead of Very High for 8GB VRAM cards otherwise the performance dips because VRAM spills into RAM eventually. Rest of the settings can be maxed out as long as your GPU has the power to do that.

If this was the performance on the 3050 then it would've been great But its the 4060 unfortunately This game looks and performs worse than horizon forbidden west L port so far

Naa it looks as good as forbidden west It just the map scaling in forbidden west is huge Forbidden west looks so huge Zero dawn was already a great looking game but not it looks even better It just its too demanding for even 4060 Maybe it aint well optimised But game looks awesome

@@saiibox3174thats how it is They even said it that the lighting effect in this game is better than forbidden west I really love this game and wanted to play the sequel "forbidden west" after completing the original version of zer dawn But i have 1650 So forbidden west doesn't work well with it But it is sad to see that 4060 aslo struggling on native resolution Tho rtx have fg and dlss and dlaa so Its great But games are getting demanded and less optimised day by day And gtx cards dying But i think this remastered is better than other terrible unoptimized release

Its pretty obvious that a remaster gets lower fps. It looks better. What did u expect for the game to look better and run the same/better ? Thats not really possible.

I'm playing it currently and it looks slightly better than Forbidden West. The lighting is a bit more accurate, as it's fed more baked-in data than HFW and even Burning Shores.

This is just sad that the RTX 4060 cant achieve 60 fps at 1080p native max settings with this remaster being a little bit better looking than the original and still alot inferior looking compared to HFW it needs a bit more optimization.

@nahuelcarreti4719 Just use the High preset. Or Very High preset with *High* Textures. This game, like its successor HFW, eventually starts to use more than 8GB of VRAM if you keep playing and then reduces the performace by atleast 20fps. Or use Karan's optimized settings.

In essence, does not look as good as Forbidden West, but runs worse. As for your optimized settings. If you have to lower them below what the PS5 is using(gonna assume it's all HIGH, as FW), then there is no point in playing this remaster. It's all about having better visuals. We know that a 4060 is a little stronger in games than a PS5(confirmed by DF). But since this is another PS5 exclusive remaster effort. You are gonna need a 3070(which is much stronger than a PS5), just to get same results. I knew it was gonna be shit when they said that you once again need a 3070 for PS5 settings/performance targets. If you have the original release, and don't own at least a 3060Ti/6700XT, I would just stay with that version. Plus you do not have to log in to the PSN account.
