Definitely better than on release. I'm sure it could be improved further but I managed to stream it getting a solid 60fps in 1080p on a Ryzen 2700x and 1080ti. There were two times the frame rate dropped I think but it wasn't for long. This was with the graphics settings not quite at max.

Fantastic review!! I was really bummed about the terrible performance at PC launch so I skipped it, but found your video while researching if it’s fixed. Sounds like it is! Adding it to my post Cyberpunk queue (another game with a BAD launch... but I actually love it ;)

@@MarksGameReviews it’s definitely not the wrong decision to give Cyberpunk some more time. I haven’t been too bothered by any of its rough edges on PC and love the game, but it still needs *a lot* of work before it can ever be called polished

Haha yeah those were fun! I really liked the array of different weapons and traps here. Always felt great laying a "minefield" of a dozen or so different things right where you knew a boss was going to come running across :D

I bought tHZD pre PC launch based on Jingle's walk thru. The PC launch was definitely buggy but Guerilla got it fixed really fast and it is an amazing game to play through, Easily on a par with Assassins Creed Odyssey and Origin although not quite as complex as them..

I always had a full stash of healing potions and wonder if I could have just relied on those more and gathered a little less. I had to hunt for skins and bones to upgrade equipment anyway. Ended up liking the Erend story best, mostly because he was annoying at the beginning and then turned out to be a different guy than I thought as the story went on.

Splendid review! I'm waiting on cyberpunk to cook with more time in the oven.... and omg Hitman 3 looks like a dream to play, I now wish I devoted my precious time to the previous instalments in the Hitman series now that it's finding a very unique identity of itself with a lot of positive reviews!

Thanks! You are right to wait on Cyberpunk, I just finished the story yesterday and overall the game needs a year two (once all the DLC and expansions are out) to be really finished. I haven't played any of the Hitman series, I should take a look sometime as I only hear good things about them.

Hence the better it gets; the more affordable it is... Bad move on CDPR 😅 But Yea hitman 2 first mission is free on steam so I'm downloading it now to see what I think!

Great Video. If the game is in a stable state now with the patches updated, ill buy the game now. plus since its Dec 25th as i commented this as of now, its on sale for 20%, its a big sale but at least its a manageable price.

After my disappointment about your Origins review, I'm glad you liked HZD so much, even though some things are the same as in Origins, like the grinding for upgrades. Point of note though: The sequel Forbidden West, will only be playable on PS4/5 for the upcoming years, like it was with HZD. Maybe they will release it in 2-3 years for PC as well. But that won't be before say 2024-5.

Yes This is an awesome Game Im only 30 % into it but love it , its not a perfect pc port, Installing it on an ssd made a huge difference for me, Great Story and combat.

It’s funny, I was excited to play this but then passed on its PC launch because of the horrible performance. I’m playing Cyberpunk with few issues and loving it. Gonna pick this up for after, now that it’s fixed. Cyberpunk is a really great game IMO, it just needs a couple more months of patches to be what it should’ve been at launch. I highly recommend it.... 5 months from now 😂

@@JDKempton I found it much easier to aim and play with the mouse and keyboard personally, but there is full controller support which also has an aim-assist mode, though it didn't seem to do as much when I tried it.

@@htg97 I'll start playing it in the next couple of weeks, but my advice based on what I have heard would to wait a few months for patches and fixes. I reckon it will be an outstanding game when its fixed up but at the moment the players experience can differ wildly depending on what platform and hardware they play on.

Mark's Game Reviews i play using a 1060 graphics card on high settings and the game rarely bugg or glitch. I Love the game personly. The review was great btw. I am thinking of buying this since it cost like 15$ on epic games but question it since i may not play much because of cyberpunk. I Also have lots of other games to play but this game seems awesome

The mystery and discovery only works when every piece of content has the *potential* of being useless as well as story critical. This is the core mechanic in all of the Elder Scrolls games, and Fallout to a lesser extent. Open world means you get to read or collect anything, and YOU give it importance, or dismiss it out of hand. I do get the boredom factor, but it is what makes exploring fun instead of a grocery shopping list. Still a good review, although I'm not sure how you can comment on collecting stuff and not think Skyrim :p

I didn't actually play a lot of Skyrim, I stopped maybe 1/3 of the way through for no particular reason - I must have had something else I wanted to play :p I did play a lot of Oblivion and Morrowind though.

Massive problems still exist: rebuilding shaders on every start of the game take even as long as 10 minutes. This is skippable, but will cause issues during gameplay. Many report issues with texture streaming where textures fail to load and resulting in horrible looking ps1 quality textures. The AA solution are absolutely eye breaking causing shimmering and requiring the game to be played in 4k for it to be less obtuse.

I planned to skip Origins after watching your review but I played HZD and for me it has generic story, boring side quests (except for the dam one i guess), non-existent progression system, poor customization, shallow crafting system, repetitive dodge-roll-arrow combat. For me this game is a solid 7/10. Now I feel confused about AC:Origins.

I played PS4 Pro version and I didn't play it through. The graphics, especilly the water and vegetables in the game look terrible when compared with Red dead Redemption 2. I am considering to buy the PC version, the graphics must be much better.

There is a setting in PC options to turn the graphics up to a stage better than the PS4. I didn't run the graphics on max settings on my machine as the game still isn't optimised as well as it could be, but it did look amazing all the same.
