Absolutely. In fact it's the included radio with the Losi XXL LST, 8IGHT 2.0 RTR and 8IGHT-T 2.0 RTR.

@93hellome Well the speed of the servo is affected more by the servo itself than the transmitter. You can increase the responsivenes around center by adding some negative expo.

Yes, all Spektrum receivers have an integrated fail safe that is setup during the binding process.

@rcguy96 Haven't heard of any issues with those and the DX3S/Spektrum. Have you tried re-calibrating your transmitter to the ESC?

Plug the reverse servo into the AUX channel. If you need to lengthen the leads for the sensors you can use servo extensions for that purpose. I forget what truck I needed an extension for but I know I have done it and it works. We have extensions from 3-inches up to over a foot depending on your need in the JR brand. Check the Horizon Hobby Website for more info. JRPA095 is the 6-inch one, JRPA093 is the 3-inch one, and there's others too.

Just confirmed that yes, the SR3300T will fit in the MGT's receiver box. Now our unit we have here is one of the original trucks and I don't know if AE has made changes over the years but it does fit in ours which is stock.

You're doing just fine. From the menu scroll down to System. From here it should say RS Port: Bind. If it says Aux then push the scroller selector in and roll it to select Bind. From here go to the Aux Setting screen and here is where you set the travel from one position to neutral. For more info I'd double check the manual, I haven't done this one myself actually. Check about page 18 or so. It talks more about setting up a crawler but this "should" work with a shifting servo too.

@gerhausa Yes, I just looked and you do have a choice between English and German for the language.
@horizonhobby16 жыл бұрын
OH, forgot to mention too, when you get the extension together and all use a zip-tie to keep the make and female connectors from accidentally coming apart. Just go between the center wire and one of the two outside ones and you'll be good to go.

You can race with either really. The DX3R is going to have a faster response time with digital servos due to the 5.5m/s framerate. Navigation is similar between the two, feel is pretty similar too. If you're not needing telemetry and would prefer the faster responsiveness I'd go with the DX3R myself.

Checking on the MGT Radio box now. I don't have one and haven't owned one but we have access to an original one that we're checking. I'll let you know soon. As far as whether the temp sensor will work it should as long as you can get it mounted to the head itself. I'll post more info when I get the feedback on the receiver in the radio box.

@nolo148 The DX2S is a really under-rated radio. It has virtually all the same features as the DX3S, minus one channel and one other thing (I think it's idle-up but not 100% positive). Now the thing is the DX3S has more memory, the extra channel and comes with 2 receivers. They're both telemetry-equipped and both have the same basic feel in-hand.
@horizonhobby14 жыл бұрын
@59168888 You can use any open port to provide power for the fan, including the bind port.

The DX3S uses standard DSM technology where the DX3R uses DSM2. This, along with the adjustable frame rates of the DX3R make it a faster radio than the DX3S. That being said, the DX3R cannot use Telemetry unless you use an SR3000, SR3001, or SR3300T receiver and the hand-held device.
@horizonhobby14 жыл бұрын
@rcguy96 It would be covered in the instruction manual for the ESC.

Ok thanks i have bought one and it's so crazy! I love it! One more question: How i can plug the reverse servo of the MGT and the wire for the temperature/speed/RPM are too short to pass from the engine to the receiver box. You have a trick? Thanks
@Damino9516 жыл бұрын
Ok thanks for your fast reply! I will buy one on Horrizon hobby. I have 2 more questions. I have an MGT 4.6 and the receiver of the DX3S look big, does it will fit in the receiver box? Second question, i have an STS .30 on my MGT and on your web site, the temperature sensor work only for .21-.26. Does it will fit? Thanks

All depends on what you want to use it for: DX3S On-Board Telemetry 10-model Memory Marine-compatible Now compatible with DSM2 receivers DX3R 30-model memory Fastest radio on the market 5.5 m/s frame rate Assignable switches

I checked it, it does show you your speed in MPH or in kilometers per hour. You have to figure your rollout out but is it very easy. I think its about 90% acurate which means give or take 1-2 MPH

@59168888 Make sure you have your antenna mounted as high as possible in your car. That will affect the range too. Beyond that I'd suggest giving Product Support a call.
@horizonhobby16 жыл бұрын
Not 100% accurate. The DX3R has more racing-oriented features and tuning options while the DX3S has the telemetry options. If you want the telemetry and that's important to you then go with the DX3S. If you're looking for racing, if speed and responsiveness is important and if you're going to run digital servos then you may want to go with the DX3R instead
@rccar30610916 жыл бұрын
I believe you can also see your speed in MPH, look at 4:22 under speed it says unit: RPM I'm pretty sure you can switch that to MPH. I'll let you know tomorrow. I'm getting one.Great Review this made me decide to get it.I really think a tweaked out racer could use this though. I raced the last 4 years with a Traxxas system and I still won races. This will help out a lot, but buying the DX3R over this won't win you races. And i must say the DX3R is nice but this is $70 bucks cheaper. + features
