I remember trying to farm this guy with my crew and though we were strong, we were terrified and had to communicate and work tightly together. The fear of death in FFXI is real, and that fear made the adventures feel real. Thats what I miss about FFXI.

Summoner is a pretty popular job atm, so there are lots of shells with summoners that need the body. That makes tons of competition for a freshly launched server lol.

I sympathize with camping this Notorious Monster for 3 weeks and gathering a sufficient number of people and praying that he drops from memory his rate 50% something like that...🙄 Also letting go that there are other groups out there... I can already feel the pain when I get to that level...

It's hard to say if waiting would make it easier because that allows people to level smn and need the body also. It's a dumb NM either way. I don't remember a time where I was excited to camp this thing out of all the time I've played lol. I've always felt like this is one of those NMs they should have made a BCNM version for. Similar to leaping boots and such that people could farm.

IIt was the same for the Brown Belt the NM Morbolger it's a 100% drop but the NM 24h repop... I had a hard time with it back in my MNK days... I remember claiming it after a server maintenance thanks to Chi Blast!

This NM in all honesty is ruining my enjoyment of the game... it was my curse in retail and it's driving me mad again on here. 3 no drops for me, tricky to gather people as well as you said. Congrats on the robe.
