I have tried 11 times to crochet a cone and about to throw it out the window. Then I came across this video and it's the easiest one to figure out. Thank you thank you.

The unicorn horn saved my project. I was making a hat that was supposed to have a row of dinosaur spikes. I didn't have enough yarn so I made a single spike on top using this pattern. I had to cut back on the increases so it could fit. Looks great. I don't see a place to insert a picture but the single spike finished off the hat in style!

Wait so after magic ring, it's 1 sc, then increase 2 sc. Then 2 sc, increase, then 3 sc, increase, repeat 3 sc increase until length you want?
@JennaesDIYStudio

Yep. Is a simple pattern. And if you want it bigger, you just continue.

If I want it longer would I do a few more rounds of the last round you did? To keep it narrow?
@JennaesDIYStudio
@JennaesDIYStudio 5 ай бұрын

Does this work if the first layer is a different number? What about if you're doing double crochet instead of single - will the 3 sc 1 dc pattern be the same?
@JennaesDIYStudio
@JennaesDIYStudio 4 жыл бұрын
Will have to try it to see if the numbers match and if it keeps the form. Let me know if you do it ❤️

Jennae's DIY Studio I did end up trying it! I used 10 no-gap dc for the first round. Then I did 2 no-gap dc into the same stitch every 6 instead of 3. This made my horn grown in length faster but expand at the base slower

Hiya, I’d like to use this to make a large traffic cone, I like the idea of it growing slowly but I don’t understand the whole no-gap sc dc language… I know sc means single and dc means double crochet stitch but those meanings don’t make sense to me in this context 😬 TIA
@JennaesDIYStudio
@JennaesDIYStudio Жыл бұрын
Hi Alisha! Yes the dc means double crochet. The pattern is using sc (single crochet) stitches. Using a dc stitch will change the stitch count and how many rows to make. All depends on what you want to do. I will use the pattern here and you just keep on going around until you complete your desired length. Hope this help. - Jenny 🥰

@JennaesDIYStudio
@JennaesDIYStudio Жыл бұрын
Hi Nicole! You shape it the way you like. You can attach it flat or can fill it with some poly fill that is used to fill the amigurumis and sew it to it. It's all up to your creativity. - Jenny
