Well, the 3L bell isn't actually a 3L bell. The design would make it a 3L because it's deeper than the 3, but Nathan has dubbed it a 3B. Says so on the horn. So that's where the LLB comes from, low profile, 1L and 3B.

That was my first thought. The bells used are very close to playing the same chord as an M5.

That is an awesome horn, but it almost seems too big of a sound for such a little diesel!

That's because there are only 2 in existence. Both owned by the same guy.

That's a beautiful sounding horn, but only two in existence? Hardly. I've put together several myself, and have seen more that that created by other horn collectors. Also many of them came from the factory like that! K5LLB is a made-up name, not a factory designation. By the way, Micro Precision no longer classifies the modified 3 bell as a 3L. It's official designation is 3B now. Supposed to blow 440cps, A above middle C. They almost always blow sharp.

The only other option is the K5HLL which uses bells 1L,1,2,3L,4 same horn but on the high manifold. Its getting more common.
