Showing us the expanded bullet would be a lot more informative.

Could you repeat this test with a PCC?

That's what I'm thinking. I would love to see a carbine test with these

Best defense ammo period!!!

That is a very broad statement. It is a phenomenal ammo for 4.25"-5.00" barrel pistols. 4" can be borderline, but this stuff was designed for full size duty pistols, and is not in any way, meant for Micro's, or sub compacts.

Is this an average or just how one individual round performed??

Now if you would just produce enough bullets that they can be available at local stores and at midway. I have been waiting 3 months for 115gn XTP to be in stock. Are you selling them all to Bloomberg or what?

I use gold dot 124gr +p's in my pistols. I'm wondering if this would be the ultimate carbine round?
@zits56able6 ай бұрын
Probably would be awsome in a sub 2000 or the new ruger copy with their 16 in barrels

I've seen long barrel tests of this round. It doesn't pick up much extra velocity and still works similarly well.

Amazing...that is extremely difficult for any pistol round to accomplish!

Penetration was never 14”. And counting the compression of the gel from impact does not equate to 14”. This looks to be about 13-3/4” at best.
@thorkill82464 жыл бұрын
That would seem impossible.

It would seem 8mpossible to catch a bullet in jello. Normally a gun shoots though anything

It’s ballistics gel… not Jell-O. Lmao

Velocity and performance out of a G43 3.4” barrel? 135gr is a bit heavy I think.
@mattfleming864 жыл бұрын
Hypotheses of course, but if like similar constructed bullets it could expand slightly less and go a touch deeper. Handgun bullets can be quite tolerant to velocity changes.
@MasterTaters2 жыл бұрын
Don't use anything less than 3.75 inches basically if the load cant meet 1050 fps with the harder lead they use for the barrier blind performance, it will expand significantly less. This is hard to achieve out of a g43 and glocks often produce slightly lower velocities to start with (@25 fps loss on average it seems) because of their reduced tolerances and choice of barrel. I put this in my cz 75 compact and I feel like that just barely meets the need at 3.9 inches of barrel, it's intended for medium to full size pistols 4 - 5.5 inches of barrel by law enforcement, Out of less than what is commonly considered to be a full size or a cut down full sized gun exceeds its design.

.177 steel bb at 1000fps would go clear through that gel

Subpar performance at best. The federal hst is still king and I’d take it any day over any of the hornady offerings
@crownandbrim9261 Жыл бұрын
Have it. I’ll take that temporary wound cavity and 14” of projectile penetration any day, all day long.
