Hornby 'Generic' 4 & 6 Wheel Coaches - OO Gauge - Model Railway

A short running session featuring the all new Hornby 'Generic' 4 & 6 wheel coaches in smart BR Crimson.
Announced as part of the Hornby 2021 Range, this suite of pre-grouping inspired coaches come in a wide selection of Pre-Grouping, Big Four and BR liveries, available with or without Hornby's new battery powered 'MagLight' lighting system.
In this video we see the rake in action, hauled behind Ex Midland Railway 1532 Class, No. 58072 on my photo-plank micro layout.

Great work there Callum. Those coaches certainly do look amazing. You would never know that this was filmed on your short photo plank, all of the different angles you have used make it look like a much larger layout. Keep up the great work 👍🏻.

They really lovely models. The rake only just fitted on the plank 😅 Really has been a handy tool while Lyncombe Vale is under construction! 🙂

Many thanks! They do look stunning in teak (must admit I was tempted, but don't think it would fit in with my plans). The Crimson finish is very nice on these I must admit, on of the best BR Crimson shades Hornby has done to date.

@@SDJR7F88 Haha, yes I imagine you'd need a serious dose of Rule 1 to see LNER teaks on the SDJR! I agree the Crimson does look great though. Shows that they're still very good looking coaches even with a less flashy livery. 👍

They seem like excellent models, tempted to get one (perhaps GWR/LNWR livery). There are a couple of wooden coach bodies (possibly LNWR?) in field around 2 minutes from my house (along with a BR box van); sadly one has rotted to become a pile of wood over the years, though the other one remains intact. May have to get a couple to represent the pair in their heyday! Stay safe Callum👍

As your layout develops, I think you're gonna need a new intro eh?? I find these coaches look great in BR & Southern liveries. My only gripe is they're too generic for LNER & GNR liveries. But to anyone who gets them, please enjoy them. Personally, I won't touch them, I'll go to kits.
