Lol the moment you removed that from the box I heard the NRFB (Never remove from box) chant from Dexters lab in my head but in all seriousness that's actually very interesting. Despite being from the UK myself I was only really aware of Clockwork Thomas and Percy. Hornby did have a habit of reusing an 0-6-0 chassis for quite a lot of tank engines in their main range as well as the Class 08. Though what's very interesting to note is there actually was an older Hornby Dublo Class 08 in the 60's with a more appropriate chassis. Yet for whatever reason they went for a generic chassis further down. Wouldn't be till the mid 00's Hornby would finally produce another Class 08 with a proper looking chassis. With Hornby now owning Lima though I would've liked to see them use the Lima Class 08 tooling as a basis for a new Diesel Model or something. I know that would never happen now but there certainly was potential. The Lima 08 was notable for being pretty accurate for it's time. Was only ever outdone in the 00's.

These items you review are so interesting! Tbh I kinda wish they made more, I wish they made Duck, Oliver, Stepney, etc. also with those characters I named, we would’ve had the list that correlates with that line from the song, “Little Engines” lol!

I personally prefer these bill and ben models better than the electrified ones, and that's because of the chassis, they look so much better with that smaller chassis.

Man it's been a hot minute since I saw someone review a Hornby Thomas product, especially one from the Clockwork line. For all the faults critics have given the Hornby Thomas range, I think this is one of the better ones in terms of detail and accuracy... Even if he's taller than a BR HST 🤣 Also 22:39 , you based based man. I grew up with the OG Power Trains, I still own every piece I got growing up, and let me tell you this was one of the greatest "toy" train lines I've seen and experienced.
