Watching this the morning after, the piece that was missing for us all, was the fact that Tidjane had worked out with Charlotte, obviously on the down low, and just how INTENTIONAL this #6 pick was and this new owner group/coach, especially with the early presser, last night, is not the Hornets of old. Can't wait for the July 6th summer game with the Spurs, so we can know, what they know. Peterson reaction: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pF7LZ2pnot6XaZYsi=fkzhXUSThMDlo6Fw

I like how they are like " I don't think this is the best pick" and then admit that they haven't watch very much film on him lol....watch the film guys! It's obvious thus is a great pick

He's like a poor man's (French) Blake Griffin (looks) with better PJ Washington - Tools, and a motor like young Miles. I'm not mad at all!

Hornets have never picked an international guy in the top 10 to my knowledge. We usually pick an upperclassman college guy who has instant effect on the team, but no major upside. Morrison, Kaminsky, Zeller... Im so glad we didnt pick Dalton. We had to switch it up. Salaun is a great pick. We have a developmental staff. Lee has coached Giannis and Tatum. He knows what it takes. For this draft... hes the youngest, has a great wingspan, Best motor, willing to learn, hard worker, Better shooter than Castle, Clingan, Matas, Holland, Sarr, etc... It is a reach... we reaching for the stars. not the play in. I LOVE THIS PICK.

I know its Hornets culture to hate your pick (lol) but i definitely like it. Maximize your assets with a Miles sign and trade and get Salaun on the court in year one. Future first and a vet. We are aiming for success in 2027 - 2029 and beyond. 3 years in 30 pounds heavier and shooting 80% from the line and 37% from 3... Sal could be goooood. I see him as Sochan now, with higher upside. And lord knows we need some hard working players in Charlotte... Hes also another transition threat for Melo

I called the Tidjane Salaun pik weeks ago. I was initially on the Ron Holland bandwagon until I noticed he has tunnel vision and questionable basketball IQ. But I saw in Salaun the gifts Holland had (high motor + athleticism) in addition to mamba mentality and good basketball IQ. But he needs to tighten his handles

That doesn’t seem like that was something that was highly publicized. It’s not that we got information that he didn’t work out, we just hadn’t heard he had been in Charlotte.
