Really enjoy the channel. The music is great, the scenery breath-taking and the messages always have meaningful resonance. Thanks

Thank you very much, sir. I appreciate your kind words and I'm glad my videos connect on a deeper level. I debated whether to release this video with that intro but I see so much suffering, so much pain and struggle that getting in front of the camera and acting like everything is unicorns & rainbows doesn't always make sense. I don't wanna be a downer in every video, but I'm not afraid to say I struggle, and sometimes I struggle immensely. My struggles aren't exclusive to my past, they are continual and I don't want people feeling like something is "wrong" with them because they're in a similar fight with depression.

@@RideWithGravity I dont see ANY of your videos as being 'downers' in any way...... having personal depth can sometimes be a curse but I'm sure the majority of you viewers get the spiritual connection to the music, the messages and the wide open spaces. Keep doing your thing. I hope it brings pleasure to you 'cos it certainly brings pleasure to others.

I choose love. Bill Hicks was a genius. It was great riding with you today on the slick rock. Thanks for the suicide prevention mention. I feel like more struggle than will admit. Resources for people who need it. That's love.

Today was awesome. I've never experienced anything like that before. Thank you for the kind words. I hid the darkness for decades because it was safer to act like I didn't struggle with these things. It took me 46 agonizing years to finally figure out that I wasn't going to be defined by my struggles, but rather, I would draw strength from surviving the things that tried (and continue to try) to break me. And if I can do it, maybe I can help someone else do it, too. "I left in love, in laughter, and in truth, and wherever truth, love and laughter abide, I am there in spirit." - Bill Hicks

i love everything about this... the suicide prevention push at the beginning... the story... the curation of the audio-visual experience... bravo! What focal length was your intro shot in? can't tell if it's a long focal length with compression, or just a really rad spot you chose.
@RideWithGravity3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I shot the intro out at Koko and used a 70-200mm at about 135mm.

@@RideWithGravity ah dude thanks!... i have a 16-35 f/2.8.... and I've been eying a 70-200 f/2.8 as my next lens... It's interesting to see the difference between subject separation with a wide angle, and separation via compression with creamy bokeh, with longer focal lengths.... but damn.. they're expensive! lol... ebay, here i come!

Thanks, Tee. I appreciate the kind words. I have a few new ideas I'm working on to add to the channel but I haven't completed them yet. I've been slacking lately.
