Damm, that speedo on that crotch rocket showed a brief 290 km/h. A fall at that speed will shatter bones, damage vital organs, cause internal bleeding and in most cases it will be a lethal fall. Ps, that biker that fell at 0:52 was very painful to watch.

Creo que ya tiene bastante peligro hacer una carrera en un circuito urbano, para que además que un piloto que va más lento delante, de uno que va más rápido le vaya cerrando los huecos para impedir sus adelantamiento, (no es un circuito cerrado, con todas las medidas de seguridad, para minimizar cualquier accidente. Hoy en día con la tecnología que existe, se podría poner al servicio de la carrera, para hacerla más segura. ¿Cómo por ejemplo? : -Monitoreo con cámaras y drones por toda la pista y muchas pantallas recibiendo imágenes de todo el circuito. Sobre todo en el Centro de Control : -Los pilotos poder recibir (a través de auriculares en el casco). -Transmitir información, por la pantalla incorporada bajo la cúpula de la moto y unas botoneras en los semimanillares, para que de un solo toque poder transmitir, avisos como : -Pista mojada o sucia. -Caída de un piloto. -Piloto, me está impidiendo su adelantamiento. -ETC. -Más Marshalls, para limpiar y secar trozos de pista, que lo necesite para más seguridad, sacar banderas amarillas o rojas, cuando se necesiten y socorrer rápidamente a los pilotos accidentados y rápidamente limpiar la pista de restos del accidente.

I have loved motorcycles since I was 12 years old. I enjoy riding good twisties, but I never had any desire to road race. Drag race, maybe, which I did, for fun a few times, but no road. Needless to say, there is a lot of risk, with even a moderately crowded pack.

It’s one thing to crash on a racetrack, a totally different thing on the road, that Irish road race is incredibly dangerous and insane. It makes me want to ship my bike over there and race without having to worry about the cops chasing you. At those speeds it only takes a split second, when you ride to the edge of the danger zone that’s what makes you feel really alive and every single one of those riders know it. That’s why they do it, there’s no other feeling like it in the world
