My answer to Doug's question : I think that multi-billion-dollar companies like Nintendo or gamefreak should be striving for way higher quality in their products (looking at you switch and pokemon scarlet and violet) and that as the fans we should be more proactive and refusing to partake in their company until they give us better stuff

i’m on the side of piercing a baby’s ears 1. because they can always choose not to wear earrings later in life 2. i was 18 when i got my first piercing and it was so traumatic, the piercing gun got stuck in my ear, there was crying and pain and so much blood 😭 i would have rather gotten it done with no memory of it as a baby. also for those getting any piercings at all pls get it done by an actual needle and not a gun.

Oh Ross, I feel you on the TP issue. It drives me nuts when its backwards as versus forwards, even more so when any restroom like a restaurant or convenance store that the attendant is too lazy to put it on right. Just ruins the whole experience, its worse than no TP in a stall.

8:40 Oooh I wanna add to the binge watching debate - part of the issue with streaming services that led up to the strikes is the fact that binging affected the likelihood of shows being discontinued. Aka if people weren't binging it and were instead spreading it out, it hurt the numbers somehow

Some of these debates got good! Also, if I can add to the binge vs weekly release debate, I like both for different reasons. The binge model is nice for me because I can get an entire show over with relatively quickly (as long as I remember to get back to it once I start), but I like the weekly release because it convinces me to stick with it longer and persuades me to finished it better than binging. But I think it comes down to the type of show it is, meaning if it's built/written to be binged or as a weekly release (The Sandman vs Gen V, respectively as an example)

My unpopular opinion: Movies that aren't romance, romantic comedy, or historical/documentary (specifically ones telling the history of a romance/relationship) shouldn't have a romantic subplot. Romance doesn't need to be the cherry on top of the movie plot and will actually ruin a movie that tries to have a "hero gets the girl" moment at the end.

About the piercing baby's ears thing; my parents pierced my ears when i was a baby and im so glad that they did. I had a friend in elementary that got her ears pierced at age 9 or 10 and i remember her having to do all these things to keep it from getting infected and all other bs that comes with it XD at that moment i was grateful to my parents :)

Had to say my piece abt the dry french fries opinion. I don’t eat dipping sauces at all. If the fries don’t taste good dry, then maybe the fries aren’t good at all and you’re overcompensating for it. It can be good or maybe even better with the sauce, but it HAS to be good dry as well.

To answer Doug's question: one of the greatest games in the call of duty franchise was call of duty ghosts. The experimented with so many changes that in my opinion worked for the better and we need to see them bring some of those changes back.

Okay, I have to say that book ARE better than movies because with books, your imagination is your limit. Not only that, but you can read about some of the most wondrous and massive structures and creatures ever which could be almost impossible to adapt to screen with the same sort of gravitas and emotion. For example, Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson. In that world, the planet Lumar has 13 moons. And each of those moons release different coloured spores, and those spores create the oceans that make up most of the planet. Most of the time they behave like water, but when there's a Still, they behave like sand dunes; you can walk on them. The thing is, each of these types of spores have different effects when exposed to moisture, even the smallest amount of moisture like on your eyeball. Those effects are very volatile and potentially deadly (for example, emerald spores rapidly grow into plantlife and seek out more moisture, so getting one in your mouth will cause vines to grow down your throat, through your organs, and kill you). This kind of world is very much limited to animation and even then, it would be difficult to properly convey the feeling of the spores and the oceans. When reading the book, you're able to visualise it in your own way.

So my unpopular opinion is that in the Thomas and friends community it is accepted that the best season of the show are season 3, 4, and 5. while I love 3 and 5 without hesitation. it’s season 4 i do not like, i’ll admit, visually it’s one of the beautiful season in the entire franchise, but story wise sucks when you compare it to the book source material. they take out a mystery that the author spent over 15 years planning by making it the debut episode. They continue on and the narrator has to keep reminding the audience what has happened in the first 8 episodes about what has changed, and then the last few episodes are stories they haven’t adapted yet to tv so those were just filler. There’s more, but i feel like I ranting now. does this make sense, probably not, but if you read this thanks. this has been my unpopular opinion.

Unpopular opinion: Wyverns are dragons. Now, let me explain. The term "dragon" is a collective term, rather than in reference to a specific subspecies. For example, a tiger is a cat, but so is a lion. Therefore, wyverns fall under the species of dragons. "But wyverns only have four limbs and dragons have six!" Geckos have 4 limbs and snakes have 0 limbs. What are they both? Reptiles. "But dragons have scales, shouldn't they be reptiles as well?" Know what else has scales? Fish. Are fish reptiles? Didn't think so. In conclusion, wyverns are a type of dragon. Thank you Dr Ernest Drake (wonder how many folks will get that reference...)

Why piercings are scientifically bad for babies and children under 5 years of age: Parents say babies won't remember the pain but their bodies will. Bodies remember trauma even brains do not. Also, as the baby grows older so does their body, including their ears. The piercing will become misplaced and many people have complained and said they wish their ear hadn't been pierced as a baby because now they can't fix it and they're stuck with their ears as they are. I highly advise against piercing a baby in any way because it can be dangerous (they jerk around and cry in pain, they're babies, what do you expect?) But it can also cause the body trauma through its memory and can mess up a person in the future. Also, as max and Ross stated, babies cannot consent. What if they never wanted a piercing when they grow older? Some piercings do not heal, and there are also problems called Kiloids. (Hope I spelled that right). There are many, many reasons why piercing a baby in any way is bad. These are only some.of those reasons.
