I used to get one of these types of sound effects cassettes a couple weeks before each Halloween and listen to it all through the rest of October until Halloween. They moved on to CDs later. Now, I guess everyone just deals with what is online, but these just seem so much better to me.

How the heck do you record a cassette onto a CD? I find it impossible to believe

@@angelo5152 poor choice of wording, but it's really not that difficult. Get a cassette player and a mic wire with two male ends. Plug one into the headphone jack on the cassette player and the other into the mic jack on your computer. Use an audio recording program like the free Audacity and press play on the cassette and record on your computer. Then, burn the audio file to CD.

@@EbayFigureReviews Yes, later on in the 90's, these Halloween Sounds were available on CD. I believe, that's when most of the people started making the transition, from cassettes to compact discs.

@@Donscottgaming I have spent many days and weeks searching for even the cassette of this on ebay. Could not find, let alone a cd version. Guess it's that rare. My cassettes font is also different from the picture, but still has the orange label. What does the cd cover look like? can you describe it? thanks

Wow. I picked this up in a clearance bin at Kmart in 1989 for our haunted trail! It was amazing and I cannot believe I managed to find this again. Thank you SO much for posting it. qq -- is there a 'b-side' to this , or is it the same thing on both 'sides'?

Should have kept the tape player. No skips, no scratches, no adds. Just rewind the reels or cut and glue if it gets eaten and all is good!

Any solutions to when a tape gets too stretched out? I have a Christmas album I want to upload but my cassette now sounds like a dying cat during my favorite song. Unfortunately, the box lists no contributing artists and it is very generically titled "Christmas Classics Volume 3," so finding a replacement copy is impossible.
