You do quite a wide range of different explorations, which I like. As you say Moxley, nature looses no time in reclaiming abandoned sites. Police tape begs a few questions too. Great job, well done.

It's mad to think you're in the place that John Venables was sent, I had just turned 12 when that happened and can remember it like it was yesterday. It still gives me a weird sicky feeling to this day. Also on reading up I found out the reason the police tape maybe there is it was used as a police training place after it closed down.

A strange vibe where the police tape was and were they bullet holes in the glass. Shame its left to rot away and could be used by the homeless. Love the mystery of this place and ducking cameras 😂. For those of us Across the Pond (as they say) it would have been nice if you could have given us some back story to this place. (I did look it up and do remember hearing on the news about the abduction and murder of that dear boy but I didn't know that the place you were exploring was where one of his murderers was imprisoned in his youth) It would have made the place seem even more creepy while you were exploring. It was a secure unit for children. Open 1965. Closed 2015. 1990 it housed 26 boys convicted of serious crimes, including murder, rape and arson. Since it's closure, it's been used as a police training place. So they knew that you were there, Mox 😂😂

I lived in the same town until last year. I believe some of the houses were just houses and no idea who owned them or why they were abandoned. I remember visiting one briefly in the 80s, which was a school friend’s house. The unit closed in 2015 but now I think some of the property is being used for a SEN school. The police tape is probably from a massive terrorist training exercise that happened there a few years back
