I like the fact that the finale ends between Jason and Micheal. Chucky appears later but seeing that the two of them are the "last" antagonists standing. I'm sure they're still alive.

honestly i wanted chucky to win.both him and freddy were the smartest combatants.Freddy ran when he knew he couldnt win mulptiple times and came back stronger.CHUCKY made multiple of himself so he was basically fighting with multiple lives and the ability to gang ppl.and we saw it payoff
